The Industry's Best in-house Training Programme

Newly appointed consultants undergo a rigorous induction programme. This consists of intensive classroom based training, at one of our centralised training departments. This is followed by a period of office based time which is spent observing and working closely with experienced consultants. This format allows for a comprehensive introduction to Trailfinders' product, computer systems, policies and procedures and facilitates a structured and supported transition into the role and the live sales environment.

Further in-house training opportunities arise in the form of ongoing customer service and sales technique sessions, regular product updates and educational familiarisation trips. This means that our staff are well prepared to meet the needs, wants and high expectations of our clients throughout their career at Trailfinders.

For sales support roles there is often a classroom based period to provide familiarisation to company policies, procedures and systems followed by further on the job training.

Ongoing Training

Further on-going in-house training opportunities arise in response to established and ad hoc demand; these may include British Airways Fare & Ticketing examinations, customer service and sales technique sessions, supervisory training, regular product updates and educational and familiarisation trips.

Internal Career Advancement Opportunities

We do not recruit externally for any supervisory or management level positions within our sales departments as we believe that a key part of our continued success is down to the hard work and commitment of our employees. We prefer to encourage and stimulate the personal development of existing staff and reward them by promoting internally which presents a very real opportunity to climb the ladder.

In addition to the standard promotional prospects for Travel Consultants there are enhanced opportunities to advance and specialise at our HQ in London. Generally vacancies that arise in our specialist sales teams; First & Business Class, Tailormade Sales and Group Travel for example, as well as in areas such as IT, Airline and Ground Product Contracting, Personnel, Training and Marketing are filled internally with existing staff.
