The following information will provide some guidance to the service we offer, however please do not hesitate to call us for further details.

  1. Can we arrange a gift list for any occasion or just for weddings?
    • Yes, Trailfinders can arrange gift lists for any special occasion.
  2. Is there a fee to register my gift list with Trailfinders?
    • Setting up your gift list is completely free.
  3. How soon can I set up my gift list?
    • You can register your gift list up to eleven months prior to the occasion with a minimum of one month to the occasion.
  4. Do my guests have to purchase specific trips from a list?
    • What your guests are doing is purchasing Trailfinders gift vouchers, which can be put towards your trip of a lifetime or saved for future travel.
  5. How can my guests make contributions to the gift list?
    • Your guests can contribute online, by phone, by post or in person through any UK Trailfinders travel centre.
  6. Will each contribution automatically be offset against my honeymoon?
    • The contributions are held in an account until the list closes. Once the list closes the monies can be offset against your holiday/honeymoon.
  7. Can I use the funds to pay the balance when my final payment on my travel arrangements is due?
    • You are only able to use the funds once your list is closed. If your final payment is due before your list closes you are responsible for paying the balance yourself.
  8. How will I be refunded/creditied?
    • All refunds go back to the original method of payment used. The exception is cash payments, which will be refunded by cheque. Each method of payment will be refunded to the maximum value of that payment.
  9. The cost of my honeymoon is less than the total contributions, how is the balance paid?
    • All additional contributions will be forwarded to you as gift vouchers.
  10. I paid the balance on my holiday/honeymoon using different cards, can I have the total amount collected from the gift list refunded back to the one card?
    • Each method of payment will be refunded to the maximum value of that payment.
  11. I paid by a credit card and the account is now closed, can you credit my new account?
    • If that account has closed we will still credit you back to the original method of payment. The bank will then be able to transfer the funds or issue you with a cheque.
  12. I have received gift vouchers separately from my friends can I put this towards my gift list?
    • They cannot be included on the list or applied retrospectively but you may use the vouchers as a direct payment for current or future travel.
  13. If I choose to receive gift vouchers for my gift list, how long are they valid for?
    • The gift vouchers are valid indefinitely.
  14. I cannot find the answer to my question?
    • Please contact the gift list department who will be able to assist you with your enquiry.
