Holidays to Australia
Nobody knows Australia like Trailfinders.
One in six of all visitors to here from the UK travel with Trailfinders and in over 45 years we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of people realise their dream of discovering the country.
This is a vast and varied area of the world and there are many ways to experience its delights.
Below you will find details of the various holiday styles we offer in this wonderful country.
With excellent road networks, Australia is ideally suited for exploration by car or motorhome. Our featured fly drive holidays have all been carefully constructed to ensure you see all the highlights en route at a comfortable leisure driving speed. Even though we have done all the hard work for you, these holidays are totally flexible and we offer the freedom to create an itinerary unique to you. Our car rental partners Avis, and motorhome rental partners maui are renowned for their high standards of service and wide number of depots. Call the fly drive experts and we’ll map it all out for you.
It isn’t always practical for independent travellers to complete their preferred itinerary by road due to time constraints, or the distances involved. In this case, our Australia multi centre holidays will be the right choice for you. You will find inspiring multi centre holidays throughout these pages and we can arrange internal flights, ferries or rail travel between cities across the country, and combine it with New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, allowing you to construct the perfect holiday.
ESCORTED COACH TOURS
A popular and sociable way to explore is on an escorted coach tour. Tours can focus on specific areas, or can even span the country with segments connected together by domestic flights. With the cost of transportation, sightseeing, accommodation, a dedicated tour director and many meals included, escorted coach touring represent excellent value for money. Through our partners APT & AAT Kings we offer both superior and luxury level tours and group size will be a maximum of 52 people.
In Australia, time on the beach can be a holiday in itself, but is more likely to be a complimentary part of a larger itinerary. Why not combine beach time in Queensland with a few days exploring the Red Centre. The Pacific islands of Fiji, Tahiti, Bora Bora and Rarotonga offer perfect beaches, gently swaying palm trees and a Polynesian welcome.
Iconic rail journeys bisect Australia. The Indian Pacific is one of the world’s longest railways, connecting Australia’s east and west coasts. The Ghan runs all the way from the tropical Top End through the majestic Red Centre and on to Adelaide.
SMALL GROUP ESCORTED TOURING
With a group size of 12 to 18, small group escorted touring offers the same value inclusions as coach touring but in a more intimate group. In Australia, we offer All Terrain Vehicle Small Group Escorted Tours in the stunning Kimberly Wilderness.
A cruise is a fantastic way to explore these destinations. Cruise the Tasman Sea from New Zealand and enjoy some of Australia’s coastal attractions during November to March when the weather is sunny and dry. A gentle cruise is also one of the best value ways to explore the beautiful South Pacific islands.
SMALL GROUP ADVENTURE TOUR
A fun, hands on way to enjoy this vast country, Small Group Adventure Tours generally have more active elements and stay in more basic accommodation than other escorted tours, often permanent campsites. Some tours are restricted by age (18-35), group sizes are up to maximum of 24 and all tours will be led by an experienced tour leader.
As part of a longer Australia holiday, time spent in the iconic cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane will yield unforgettable experiences and memories. Our wide range of hotels, apartments, local tours and attraction tickets means that you can ‘complete the picture’ and create a city break that is unique to you.
