PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

At Trailfinders, we don't just organise travel, we live and breathe it - and we've got the pictures to prove it!

This year we launched our first ever Trailfinders photographic competition for staff and the response was phenomenal. With over 500 images submitted the competition was tough and choosing the best images was no mean feat. The judge was the award winning photographer Cambridge Jones who has photographed four British Prime Ministers, The Queen, Al Pacino and Sir Anthony Hopkins, to name just a few. There were six category winners selected and one overall winner. Click on the images below to view the category finalists and winners.

On his choice of winner Cambridge Jones said "This strikes me as the clear winner! It fits the brief of its category perfectly and is technically the most accomplished shot. It jumped out at me as the most arresting and original image before I even looked at the category titles."

Not only do our staff love taking photos, they also love to write about the places they travel to. In recent years we have held two writing competitions - to read some of the winning articles click here. Our staff really do share a passion for travel - in a recent survey we discovered that between them they have visited 96% of the world's countries and on average each has travelled to 33 countries. The only places we've yet to visit are Armenia, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Liberia, Marshall Islands, Sao Tome and Principe... but we're working on that!
