Nissi Beach – Ayia Napa

Renowned for its fine white sands and crystal-clear waters, Nissi Beach is known as one of the best beaches in Cyprus and is a haven for both relaxation and recreation. The beach stretches over 500 meters and features a small islet accessible by foot through shallow waters. It’s a hotspot for watersports during the day and transforms to a lively party scene by night, with beach bars and DJ’s setting the mood.

Fig Tree Bay – Protaras

Named after a solitary fig tree overlooking the bay, this beach is notable for its golden sands and calm, shallow waters, making it perfect for families. The area is well-equipped with amenities including sunbeds, watersports facilities and nearby cafés.

Konnos Bay – between Ayia Napa and Protaras

Lara Beach – Akamas Peninsula

For those seeking a more natural and secluded experience, Lara Beach is an isolated, rugged landscape located north of Coral Bay. It’s a protected area, serving as a nesting ground for green and loggerhead turtles. Accessible by dirt track, it’s recommended to visit via an organised tour or with a 4x4 vehicle.

Also known as Petra tou Romiou, this beach is steeped in mythology as the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The beach features smooth stones and offers breathtaking sunsets, though swimming can be challenging due to rough waters.

Pissouri Beach – between Limassol and Paphos

Pissouri Beach is a striking light pebble beach surrounded by green hills and chalky cliffs. It’s quieter than other beaches in Cyprus but has good facilities, making it a great spot for a peaceful retreat.
