Addo Elephant National Park Now the third largest national park in South Africa, Addo covers over 180,000 hectares. Supporting a wide range of biodiverse flora and fauna, this finely tuned ecosystem is sanctuary to over 600 elephants, lions, buffalo, black rhino, spotted hyenas, leopards and a wide variety of antelope.
Kwandwe Game Reserve Covering 22,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, Kwandwe is home to the famous Big 5 plus cheetah, hippos, giraffes and many smaller and more unusual species. As it is so unspoiled, it is also a paradise for birdwatchers, with many endangered varieties on the reserve.
Shamwari Game Reserve Award-winning Shamwari offers guests both the opportunity for close encounters with the Big 5 and a chance to glimpse into the world of successful, ethical conservation. Covering over 25,000 hectares of prime game-rich natural terrain, guests may also spot cheetah, hyenas and hippos.
Amakhala Game Reserve One of the youngest game reserves in the Eastern Cape, Amakhala has been steadily reintroducing animals into the 7,500 hectare farmlands where they once roamed free. Guests are likely to spot the Big 5 plus cheetah, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and plenty of antelope species.
Pumba Game Reserve Home to the Big 5 plus hyenas, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, warthogs and numerous varieties of antelope, Pumba offers 6,500 hectares of glorious bushland to explore. Bird watchers will delight in the 300 visiting species and guests have the rare opportunity to spot magnificent white lions.
