Days 1-2 Boston
Begin your jaunt of the East in historic Boston. Walk the 2½ mile Freedom Trail, visit Quincy Market, get to know charming Beacon Hill and Boston’s historic side, before heading over the Charles River to Cambridge, home to famous Harvard University and perhaps take in a baseball game at historic Fenway Park.
Day 3 Boston to New York City
It's time to head to the city that never sleeps, so board an Amtrak train and ride the rails to New York City.
Days 4-5 New York City
Cruise out to the Statue of Liberty, shop ‘til you drop along 5th Avenue and take in the fantastic views from the Empire State Building, before hitting the town on Broadway. Perhaps take a stroll along the Brooklyn Bridge and explore this trendy borough, savouring the foodie hotspots as you go.
Days 6-7 New York CIty to Philadelphia
Hit the rails again with Amtrak and discover the City of Brotherly Love, home to the Liberty Bell and the location of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. As you explore the nightlife tonight, remember Alexander Hamilton's famous words - don't throw away your shot!
Days 8-10 Philadelphia to Washington DC
Welcome to the nation’s capital. Wander through the monuments and memorials of America’s history, explore the Capitol Hill area of the city and soak up the political history, before a visit to the fantastic Smithsonian Institution, with 19 museums featuring natural history, art and aviation to complete your exploration of Eastern USA's most iconic cities.
