In this series, we share recent experiences had by Trailfinders staff on their personal holidays. Whether it’s a unique place to stay or an interesting region to visit, you’ll get inspiration from those who have been.

This edition sees Nadia discuss her recent holiday to the Western Caribbean with Regent Seven Seas.

Where?

We spent a week in the Western Caribbean, spoilt in ultra luxury on board a Regent Seven Seas cruise. We began our holiday in Miami, a dynamic city steeped in culture with a beautiful beach, great shopping and incredible cuisine.

Our cruise visited Mexico, Honduras, Belize and Florida, all exciting destinations I’d never visited before. With Regent, many shore excursions are included at no additional cost, which meant we were able to fully immerse ourselves in each port and get the most out of these great destinations. We were lucky to have two sea days on our itinerary, giving us time to enjoy the ship and all its amenities.

With crisp 0°C February temperatures in the UK, we were happily greeted by the warm air and laidback charm of the Caribbean, the perfect winter sun destination!

Why go?

A cruise opens the door to new and exciting destinations in a convenient and comfortable way. We maximised our trip by choosing Regent Seven Seas, an ultra luxury, all-inclusive cruise line. Regent’s small ships made our cruising experience intimate and peaceful, the perfect way to relax.

While onboard, everything was included with no hidden costs. The choice of speciality dining and shore excursions made every day exciting with new discoveries. With an amazing variety of food and drink options, we loved every moment (and every glass of Champagne) on board and only wish our cruise was longer!

Cruising’s a great way to discover new destinations with a variety of ships and itineraries that meet all your needs – the opportunities are endless!

Highlight?

We stayed in a Penthouse Suite, beautifully finished to a high standard. The suite was pristine and spacious with excellent amenities. We had a personal butler, daily canapes, upgraded bathroom products, a tote bag, in-suite Bose speaker and laundry with pressing. The upgraded suite really made the difference to our holiday, and we always looked forward to coming back at the end of a day exploring to relax in luxury.

Top tip?

Shore excursions and speciality dining are included with your voyage! These are very popular and require a reservation – it’s worth booking as early as possible to get the best dining availability and shore excursion options.
