Day 2 Pompeii
Discover the many sites of Pompeii on a walking tour of the modern city. Wander through the streets to see villas decorated with frescos and brightly coloured mosaics, remarkable Roman baths and the spectacular amphitheatre.

Day 3 Pompeii
You are free to explore further at your own pace today. Why not join an optional excursion to the beautiful island of Capri?

Day 4 Pompeii
Today you may choose to join a full-day, optional excursion on a scenic, coastal drive to the towns of Amalfi and Ravello.

Day 5 Pompeii
Enjoy another day at leisure or join an optional excursion to Mount Vesuvius, which last erupted in 1944. Having admired Vesuvius from a distance so far, this is your opportunity to experience it close up.

Day 6 Pompeii
This morning, perhaps choose an optional guided excursion to the Roman town of Herculaneum which was buried by the same eruption that destroyed Pompeii.

Day 7 Sorrento
Perhaps choose to take part in an optional cooking class during the day before visiting a local producer of Limoncello, prior to an evening farewell dinner at your hotel.

Day 8 Fly home
Enjoy a final Italian coffee and say goodbye before heading to Naples airport.

Day 2 Taormina
Travel to Taormina, a charming hilltop town overlooking two beautiful sweeping bays. Take in incredible views of the coastline and Mount Etna as you journey up a cable car before enjoying an afternoon excursion to the magnificent Greco-Roman theatre.

Day 3 Letojanni
Spend the day at leisure relaxing at the nearby beach, or alternatively join an optional excursion to the historic Syracuse. Visit ancient Greek ruins as well as the old town of Ortigia, to see the magnificent theatre carved into the hillside.

Day 4 Piazza Armerina
Visit the fascinating Villa del Casale, a Roman villa built in the 4th Century located just outside the town of Piazza Armerina. Marvel at the stunning collection of mosaics at this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5 Cefalu
Explore the popular seaside town of Cefalu today. This pretty fishing port is dominated by one of Sicily’s finest Norman cathedrals and boasts lovely sandy beaches.

Day 6 Campofelice di Roccella
Today is free to spend as you wish, so perhaps join an optional excursion to the ancient Greek town of Agrigento or visit the Valley of the Temples, one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in Sicily.

Day 7 Palermo & Monreale
Head to the vibrant capital of Palermo and explore the city’s diverse architecture before enjoying an array of authentic Sicilian delicacies during a street food experience.

Day 8 Catania to the UK
Today your adventure in Sicily comes to an end, transfer to Catania airport for your return flight home.

Day 3 Delhi to Jaipur
Your exploration of India begins with a drive to heritage rich Jaipur this afternoon. Temples and mosques fill every available space and vibrant bazaars and tempting food stalls flood the narrow lanes with colour and heady scents.

Day 4 Jaipur
Rise early to take advantage of the pink city’s cool morning weather during a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort. Explore the grounds of this fortress then enjoy a sumptuous traditional lunch whist learning about the history of this great country.

Day 5 Jaipur to Ranthambore
Drive through memorable scenery to Ranthambore - considered to be the best game reserve in India - to look for the country's famous tigers.

Day 6 Ranthambore
Experience the wildlife and look for the country's famous tigers on today's early morning safari. Enjoy some time to relax at the hotel, then join another included game drive this afternoon.

Day 7 Ranthambore to Agra
Today we will travel to Agra. On the way we will visit Abhaneri Stepwells - an incredible example of architecture. And stop for lunch at Umaid Lake Palace.

Day 8 Agra
The Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shan Jahan as a symbol of his love for his wife. The sight of this magnificent mausoleum is certain to surpass all your expectations. This afternoon we head to the UNESCO-listed Agra Fort.

Day 9 Agra to Lucknow
Today we will travel to Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, known for its parks, gardens, monuments and fascinating bazaars. On the way we will stop for an immersive perfumery tour at an 8th generation fragrance house. Lunch is included as part of the experience.

Day 10 Lucknow to Varanasi
We travel to Varanasi. Situated on the banks of the sacred River Ganges, Varanasi is colourful, chaotic and one of Hinduism’s holiest cities. To get the most out of your time here, you need to experience the city with an open mind.

Day 11 Varanasi
Rise before the sun this morning to sail along the Ganges and see devout Hindus bathing and praying beneath the rising sun. Head back to the hotel for breakfast before enjoying a short tour of Varanasi. This afternoon we visit the ruined city of Sarnath.

Day 12 Varanasi to Delhi
Relax this morning or take the time to enjoy some final sightseeing before your afternoon flight to Delhi. Join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner this evening.

Day 13 Fly home
Say goodbye to your new friends as you board your flight home, arriving the same day.

Days 2-4 Cape Town, South Africa
Join your new friends in exploring the Cape Peninsula. Drive along Chapman’s Peak to the rugged Cape Point then visit the playful penguins of Boulders Beach or perhaps join an optional afternoon tour of Cape Town's oldest township.

Day 5 Oudtshoorn
Today we travel along the scenic Route 62, one of the longest wine routes in the world. We'll stop off along the way for a wine tasting before arriving into Oudtshoorn.

Days 6-7 Knysna
Stop by the Cango Caves, where you’ll descend into an underground world of limestone caverns, stalactites and stalagmites sculptured by nature over millions of years. Explore Knysna's boutique shops or maybe take in the views from the heads.

Day 8 Johannesburg
Continue along the spectacular Garden Route stopping at Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park, where you can walk across the suspension bridge high above the water as it flows into the ocean.

Days 9-11 Kruger National Park
Travel along the stunning Panorama Route viewing some of South Africa’s most treasured natural wonders, embark on a thrilling full-day game drive where the park is home to an enthralling array of wildlife.

Day 12 Johannesburg
After a leisurely start to the day, you’re free to explore more of your surroundings before the return to Johannesburg.

Days 13-15 Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Fly to Victoria Falls and enjoy 3 days of exploring the “The Smoke that Thunders”, one of the most mesmerising sites you can see in the world. Included in a guided tour of the falls and Dinner & Drum Show at the Boma.

Days 16 Johannesburg, South Africa
Fly back down to Johannesburg for a final night before your final goodbyes.

Days 17-18 Fly home

Days 2-3 Banff
Travel to Banff for a sightseeing tour of Banff National Park. The next day, visit Lake Louise, a glacial jade-green lake high in the mountains, surrounded on all sides by towering peaks – is often described as the most beautiful place in Canada.

Days 4-5 Jasper
Travel through the heart of the Rockies on the magnificent Icefields Parkway. En route, join the Ice Explorer and step foot on the colossal Athabasca Glacier. On day 5, view the turquoise waters of Maligne Lake.

Day 6 Jasper to Kamloops (Rocky Mountaineer – SilverLeaf)
Board the famous Rocky Mountaineer for a fabulous two day journey. Sit back and relax as the first day takes in the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide, the Monashee river valleys and the Cariboo Mountains.

Day 7 Kamloops to Vancouver (Rocky Mountaineer – SilverLeaf)
Rejoin the train as your host shares stories of life in the Rockies. Watch out for vivid changes in scenery as the train passes winding rivers, pristine forests and towering mountain peaks.

Days 8-10 Vancouver
Surrounded by mountains, forests and the Pacific Ocean, Vancouver boasts one of the most beautiful settings in the world.

Days 11-12 Fly home

Day 4 Auckland
Admire Auckland’s spectacular skyline on an included city tour this morning. Later, explore the city at your own pace, in the company of your fellow travellers.

Days 5-6 Auckland to Rotorua
Journey through the rolling Waikato region, to the Waitomo Caves. Explore the fascinating glowworm grotto before continuing to Rotorua. On day 6 visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see its extraordinary mud pools and spouting geysers.

Day 7 Rotorua to Napier
Travel through the Wairakei Thermal Valley, to the powerful Huka Falls and tranquil Lake Taupo, then onwards to Art Deco influenced Napier. Sample the locally cultivated wines and take a city tour before dinner at a winery this evening.

Days 8-9 Napier to Wellington
Enjoy an orientation tour of Wellington on day 8. The following day is free to explore further with your travelling companions.

Day 10 Wellington to Christchurch
Take the ferry across the Cook Strait to Picton in the South Island. Continue south to Christchurch, enjoying the dramatic coastal scenery along the way.

Day 11 Christchurch to Franz Josef
Board the TranzAlpine for a spectacular journey into the Southern Alps via Arthur’s Pass, the South Island’s highest railway station. Rejoin the coach and continue to the magnificent glaciers of Franz Josef.

Days 12-14 Franz Josef to Queenstown
Travel to Milford Sound, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful locations in New Zealand for a scenic cruise. Spend the next day exploring further, maybe choose to join an optional steamship cruise on Lake Wakatipu with a barbecue dinner.

Day 15 Queenstown to Franz Josef
Travel north, passing Lake Wanaka along the way to cross the Haast River Bridge. The road through Westland National Park is one of the most scenic ever built, with tremendous ocean views to one side and spectacular forest views to the other.

Day 16 Franz Josef to Christchurch
This morning perhaps join a helicopter flight with a landing on the glacier for a stunning view of the landscape. Late afternoon we join the TranzAlpine Express for a spectacular journey through the Southern Alps.

Days 17-18 Fly to UK
Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight home.
