Australia Holidays

Holidays to Australia promise some incredible memories, whether it’s the beauty, silence and space of the Outback, the sparkling waters of Sydney Harbour or the rainforests, reefs and islands of the tropical north.

Surf the breaks at one of the thousands of fabulous beaches, enjoy unique wildlife and stunning scenery or sample some of the great wines produced in Australia’s renowned vineyards. The cities offer a taste of the laidback Aussie lifestyle, with lively pavement cafes, great food and shopping, whereas out in the regions there's intriguing history and Aboriginal heritage just waiting to be explored.

What Trailfinders do better than anyone else is create tailormade Australia holidays. With us, in every part of Australia, you can pick and choose how you’d like to get around, where you’d like to stay and how you’d like to experience the attractions.

Australia no1
Trailfinders is the UK and Ireland's No.1 to Australia and one in six of all visitors from here travel with us. Almost all of our travel consultants have travelled extensively here, often returning time and time again.

HOW TO GET AROUND AUSTRALIA

As you’d expect from a country that encompasses a whole continent there’s a wonderful choice of ways to enjoy holidays in Australia with Trailfinders.

Excellent roads and scenic drives mean Australia is beautifully suited to fly drive holidays either by car or motorhome. If you’d rather not drive how about joining a sociable escorted coach tour up the dazzling east coast from Sydney to the Great Barrier Reef, or a fun small group tour in the Red Centre?

Two iconic rail journeys bisect Australia - the Ghan and the Indian Pacific - and both would make a fabulous centrepiece to an amazing holiday. There are also some wonderful cruise options from grand circumnavigations of the continent to smaller expedition style voyages off the coasts of Queensland and Western Australia.

OUR HOLIDAYS TO AUSTRALIA

Click on the individual state links to see what's on offer, or simply call our expert Travel Consultants to start planning your own tailormade holiday.

  • When is the best time to visit Australia?

The northern half of Australia enjoys a warm tropical climate, so the best time to visit is generally between April and November when the weather is dry and not too hot.

For the southern regions the months between November and May are ideal, however Sydney can get rather humid and busy in December.
