Mexico Holidays

south & central america
Mexico holidays combine ancient Maya ruins with beautiful beaches, a vibrant Latin culture and word-class cuisine.

Discover Mexico’s rich heritage as you wander the cobbled streets of charming old colonial towns or explore the mysterious Chichén Itzá, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Throughout the year, colourful events and lively fiestas bring the country to life, from Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Puebla to Dia De Muertos (or Day of the Dead).

Pair all this with over 6,000 miles of stunning coastline and calm, turquoise waters for an idyllic beach break. Cancún sits on Mexico's Caribbean coast where the white sand beaches are combined with lively nightlife. Further down the coast, the Riviera Maya offers spectacular beaches, Maya ruins overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea and an impressive selection of hotels, from fun-filled all inclusive resorts to luxurious hideaways nestled amongst tropical jungle.

Trailfinders offers a range of Mexico holidays and our expert travel consultants are a mine of information about what to do here, often with first-hand travel experience. Whether you want to explore Mexico on an all inclusive beach holiday, a more active tour or aboard a Caribbean cruise – they are the perfect people to ask.

Please note: beaches along the Riviera Maya coast, from Cancún to Tulum, can be affected by sargassum seaweed - this is a natural occurrence, dependent on the weather and ocean currents. It can occur at any time of the year but the best chance of the beach being seaweed free is October to April. Should seaweed be present in significant amounts during your stay, hotel teams will do their best to clear the beach to minimise the impact for their guests, although it can affect sea access at times.
