New Zealand and The Pacific Holidays

Holidays to New Zealand and The Pacific must surely be amongst the most romantic on earth. Scattered across the largest ocean on earth, these island gems boast beautiful beaches, unique cultures and a warm friendly welcome that has been renowned for hundreds of years.

New Zealand is the home of thrilling landscapes, with snow capped mountains, dramatic coastlines and thrilling geothermal attractions. Combine that with the vibrant Maori culture and some superlative hospitality and you have a destination that is unforgettable.

The Pacific Islands are all about coral fringed beaches, aquamarine waters and fascinating Polynesian culture. Fiji, French Polynesia and the Cook Islands all boast beautiful beaches and incredible diving but each has its own unique traditions that make them special in their own right.

Other notable Pacific Island Holidays include Hawaii with its American twist on Polynesian culture and the enigmatic Easter Island, one of the most remote and mysterious islands on the planet.

  • WHERE TO GO IN NEW ZEALAND AND THE PACIFIC

    New Zealand
New Zealand is all about nature in her pomp and majesty with some truly eye-popping natural attractions.  Feel the heat in the North Island with hissing geysers, hot springs and volcanoes like White Island and Mount Tarawera. In the south, glacial ice has carved dramatic valleys from the peaks of the majestic snow-capped Southern Alps all the way to the awe inspiring Sounds of Fiordland National Park.
    Fiji
Sink you toes into powder soft sand, listen to the gentle lap of ocean and let out a long contented sigh of pleasure…welcome to Fiji time.  Tranquil, welcoming and heart-stoppingly beautiful, Fiji’s beaches could have been designed as the cure for our hectic 21st century lifestyles.  There’s over a thousand miles of coastline to pick from ranging from long swathes of soft sand backed by luxury resorts to tiny hidden coves that have never felt a human footstep.
    French Polynesia
Tahiti and her Islands could well be the most romantic destination in the whole world with heartbreakingly beautiful islands, luxurious resorts and a sensual local culture that has inspired artists for centuries. The perfect honeymoon destination, many people may do nothing more than relax in their own beach bungalow, but it would be a crying shame not to further explore these idyllic islands. With no time wasted flying between islands and offering excellent value for money, cruising in French Polynesia and the South Pacific is one of the best ways to explore the amazing beauty and local culture of this idyllic island paradise.
    Cook Islands
Tiny and remote, the Cook Islands are a pure paradise. Mountainous Rarotonga, cloaked in forest and surrounded by sandy beaches and coral reefs is heart breakingly beautiful, whilst offshore the island atoll of Aitutaki, with its a vast turquoise lagoon and tiny islets of swaying palms and sugar white sands, is many people’s idea of the perfect castaway island.
    Papua New Guinea

Home to hundreds of tribes and languages, PNG is a culturally fascinating place. Much of the population lives in rural areas and one of the best ways to see local life is to lace up your hiking boots and hit the Kokoda Track.

This demanding trek follows the trail built by Australian soldiers during WWII and passes through lush jungle and remote villages. It's tough on the legs and the humidity is always a challenge but there's no better way than to get out and experience this mysterious country for yourself.

    Solomon Islands

Nobody quite knows how long the Solomon Islands have been inhabited for but what we do know is that visiting the islands remains a thrilling adventure.

Centuries old traditions remain strong in these parts while the more recent history of World War II also looms large across the archipelago. But it's not just about history; snorkelling is a huge draw and there are many opportunities to explore the marine world.
