Day 3 - Camino de Santiago (Sarria to Portomarin)
Today is a gentle introduction to the Camino de Santiago, all about finding your feet and enjoying your scenic surroundings. Have your pilgrim passport handy as you’ll be getting this stamped at least twice a day throughout your journey.

Day 4 - Camino de Santiago (Portomarin to Palas de Rei)
Much of today’s route is along a gravel path along a road with little traffic, often cutting through Galician forests and fields. Walk through the rural Monterroso region and pass by charming villages.

Day 5 - Camino de Santiago (Palas de Rei to Arzua)
Get ready for your longest day on this stretch of the Camino de Santiago, covering the distance from Palas de Rei to Arzua. Today’s terrain is undulating asphalt, so prepare for some ups and downs.

Day 6 - Camino de Santiago (Arzua to O Pedrouzo)
Depart Arzua and reach a split in the path, where the right follows the main road, and the left cuts through shady forest.

Day 7 - Camino de Santiago (O Pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela)
Gear up for your final day of walking, conquering the leg between O Pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela, with each step taking you closer to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Day 8 - Fly home

Day 3 - Syracuse
Come face-to-face with the volcano that towered over you yesterday, with a daytrip to Mt Etna – Europe’s largest active volcano.

Day 4 - Syracuse
Wake up without an alarm today – you’ve got the day free to explore Syracuse however you like. Perhaps wander through the streets and check out the crumbling building facades and balconies.

Day 5 - Noto/Ragusa/Agrigento
After breakfast today, head for the city of Agrigento. Along the way, stop at Noto – a small town with limestone buildings that dazzle on a sunlit afternoon.

Day 6 - Valley of The Temples/Marsala
Take a step back in time today as you explore the nearby Valley of the Temples. Your local guide will bring this classical Greek site to life as you visit the temples of Hera, Herakles, Zeus and Castor and Pollux.

Day 7 - Erice/Palermo
Today, set your sights on Palermo, making a few scenic stops along the way. First, you’ll explore the beautifully preserved medieval town of Erice.

Day 8 - Palermo
Take part in a walking tour with a local guide this morning and uncover symbolic places of rebellion and anti-Mafia racketeering.

Day 9 - Fly home

Day 3 - Dubrovnik - Korcula
After breakfast, set sail for Korcula – the birthplace of Marco Polo – with lunch on board.

Day 43 - Korcula - Badija - Opuzen
Depart for Opuzen, stopping for a mid-morning swim in clear, turquoise waters near the small island of Badija.

Day 5 - Opuzen - Mostar - Trpanj
Embrace an early start this morning as you make your way to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina by minibus.

Day 6 - Trpanj - Hvar - Jelsa - Starigrad - Hvar
This morning after breakfast aboard, you’ll sail into Jelsa on the island of Hvar. When you arrive, take a private transfer to a local farm for some local produce tasting, then drive to the town.

Day 7 - Hvar - Omis
Spend the morning sailing, arriving in Omis in the early afternoon. Along the way, enjoy a swim stop and lunch on board. When you arrive in Omis, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore at your own pace.

Day 8 - Omis - Krka National Park - Split - Omis
After a leisurely breakfast on board, you’ll take a private bus to Krka National Park. Here, you’ll board a smaller boat for some cruising and exploring within the park, which spans two thirds of the Krka River and some 142 sq km.

Day 2 - Oslo
This morning, follow your leader on an orientation walk in the city. Then enjoy some free time in Oslo.

Day 3 - Bergen
Today you'll leave Oslo behind and take the train across the stunning countryside of the Fjell region to Bergen. No other train ride between two cities in Europe is at a higher altitude than this one, and few can match the views passing by your window.

Day 4 - Bergen
After breakfast this morning, join your leader for a ride by Fløibanen funicular. Taking you to 1.050 feet above the city in just seven minutes, it offers a bird eye prospective of the town and vistas of the deep blues of the sea.

Day 5 - Norwegian Fjords
Leave Bergen after breakfast and travel by bus to the fjord region. The journey will take you through epic landscapes and remote regions, so have your camera at the ready.

Day 6 - Norwegian Fjords
Today, take a boat trip and be captivated by the sight of crisp mountain peaks reflected in the glassy waters of Naeroyfjord, a World Heritage site. The name Naeroyfjord takes its origins from the Norse god of seafarers and the sea, Njord.

Day 7 - Lillehammer
There will be another long bus journey ahead of us after breakfast today, as you journey to the Alpine playground of Lillehammer. Cross vast high plains, and remote valleys, and drive through the Lærdal Tunnel.

Day 8 - Lillehammer
This morning, your leader will take you on an included visit to the Maihaugen Open Air Museum, home of the Garmo Stave Church, which tells the story of people in the Gudbrandsdalen Valley over the last 300 years.

Day 9 - Vikarbyn
Travel for around five hours by private bus today and cross the border into Sweden. Head to the lakeside town Rättvik, a laidback place that encapsulates the most Swedish of Swedish landscapes.

Day 10 - Vikarbyn
This morning you'll get a chance to get under the surface of this region with a special guided village safari with local experts. You'll get to know the history behind the villages here and learn about the traditions of the area around Lake Siljan.

Day 11 - Stockholm
Leaving the Swedish lakes behind, head to the country's cultural, political and economic capital of Stockholm by train.

Day 12 - Stockholm
After breakfast, go on an included visit to the Vasa Museum on the inner-city island of Djurgarden. The 17th-century warship, Vasa, sank in 1628 on her maiden voyage in the harbour of Stockholm and was salvaged only in 1961.

Day 13 - Stockholm / Overnight Ferry
Today is free for you to enjoy your last day in Sweden. In the evening, you'll be boarding an overnight ferry for Helsinki, Finland.

Day 14 - Helsinki
After your morning arrival into Helsinki's port you will take a public transport to your hotel. Discover a wealth of historical sights and gastronomic wonders in Helsinki.

Day 15 - Fly home

Day 3 Reykjavik to Snaefellsnes NP
This morning visit Thingvellir National Park. Continue to Deildartunguhver – Europe’s hottest water spring. Reap the benefits of your surroundings during a relaxing dip in the Krauma thermal pools.

Day 4 Snaefellsnes NP
Today you will visit the basaltic pebble beaches framed by strange lava formations and Arnarstapi where a walk along the coastal edge gives you access to rich birdlife. Continue to your hotel stay for the evening with a stop at Grundarfjordur en route.

Day 5 Snaefellsnes NP to Akureyri
Drive around the picturesque Trollaskagi Peninsula and visit the small fishing town of Siglufjordur. Explore the compact town centre, surrounded by towering mountains on three sides, and opening up to the fjord on its northern side.

Day 6 Akureyri to Egilsstadir
Head to the town of Husavik where you will board a boat for a whale watching excursion. Continue to Lake Myvatn, one of the most interesting geological areas of the northern hemisphere. Visit a number of geological anomalies lining the lake’s shoreline.

Day 7 Egilsstadir to Skaftafell NP
Drive to the famous Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon for an unforgettable boat tour on the milky blue waters. Get up close and personal with huge floating icebergs, originating from Vatnajokull, Europe’s largest ice cap.

Day 8 Skaftafell NP to Hella
Visit Skaftafell National Park and walk to the tongue of the glacier of the same name. In the afternoon, visit the waterfalls of Seljarlandsfoss and Skogafoss before arriving at your overnight stop in the Hella.

Day 9 Hella to Reykjavik
From Hella, drive to the geyser geothermal area for the spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur, erupting every ten minutes, on average. Then it’s on to Gullfoss where, on a sunny day, you can see rainbows shimmer in the spray above the waterfall.
