Day 1 Windhoek to Kalahari Desert
Your journey begins early this morning with a hotel pick-up. Leave Windhoek and travel through the dramatic Kalahari Desert, home to deep, red sand dunes.
Day 2 Kalahari Desert to Fish River Canyon
Visit the Quiver Tree Forest and the Giant’s Playground, an area known for its distinctive trees and unusual rock formations.
Day 3 Fish River Canyon to Luderitz
Discover Fish River Canyon, the largest canyon in Africa and marvel at the view from the rim. Travel onto Luderitz, stopping off at Garub to encounter the wild horses of the Namib Desert.
Day 4 Luderitz
This morning, visit the eerie ghost town of Kolmanskop where you explore the deserted homes of this former diamond mining town. Later, take an afternoon stroll to explore the coastal town of Luderitz itself.
Day 5 Luderitz to Namib Desert
Drive north through an incredible scenic wilderness to the Namib Desert. The afternoon is free to spend as you wish – perhaps relax by the pool.
Day 6 Namib Desert
Rise early to view the majestic sand dunes at Sossusvlei. Have your camera ready as you marvel at the shifting shades of reds and oranges as the sun rises. En route back to your desert lodge stop at Sesriem Canyon.
Day 7 Namib Desert to Swakopmund
Travel through the rolling hills of the Kuiseb Moon Valley to Walvis Bay Lagoon, home to thousands of African flamingos. This afternoon, arrive into Swakopmund and enjoy an afternoon at leisure.
Day 8 Swakopmund
A free day to enjoy the activities of Namibia’s adrenaline capital. Why not try sandboarding or paragliding?
Day 9 Swakopmund to Damaraland
Travel north to Damaraland, passing The Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain. This harsh rocky environment is home to black rhino and the rare desert elephant. Later, view Bushmen art created over 6,000 years ago at Twyfelfontein and visit the nearby Petrified Forest, home to fossilised tree trunks believed to be around 260 million years old.
Day 10 Damaraland to Etosha NP
Drive to Etosha National Park and spend the afternoon at leisure or perhaps book an optional game drive.
Days 11-12 Etosha NP
Over the next two days enjoy game drives within Etosha National Park. Set around a vast salt pan, this beautiful landscape is home to lions, elephants, leopards and rhino.
Day 13 Etosha NP to Windhoek
After breakfast, travel south to Windhoek for your onward travel (tour ends approx 7pm).
