Days 1-2 Fly to Cape Town
Depart on your overnight flight to Cape Town. On arrival, enjoy a short orientation tour of the city and Table Mountain en route to your hotel. After spending the afternoon at leisure, enjoy a social welcome dinner with your fellow travellers.
Days 3-4 Cape Town
Join your new friends in exploring the Cape Peninsula. Drive along Chapman’s Peak to the rugged Cape Point then visit the playful penguins of Boulders Beach. Day four is free to explore this exciting city at leisure – perhaps join an optional Winelands tour.
Day 5 Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
Enjoy the scenic drive along Route 62 to Oudtshoorn for an afternoon visit to a working ostrich farm.
Day 6 Oudtshoorn to Knysna
Stop by the impressive Cango Caves, where you’ll descend into an underground world of limestone caverns, stalactites and stalagmites sculptured by nature over millions of years. Next head to Knysna, a pretty town at the heart of the Garden Route nestled on the shores of a beautiful lagoon and surrounded by ancient forests. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day can be spent at lesiure.
Day 7 Knysna
You are free to explore Knysna at your own pace today. Perhaps explore the town’s boutiques and shops with your travelling companions, or maybe take in the views from the heads – the two huge cliffs sitting at the mouth of the lagoon. Alternatively, join an optional excursion to Featherbed Nature Reserve.
Day 8 Knysna to Johannesburg
Continue along the spectacular Garden Route stopping at Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park, where you can walk across the suspension bridge that crosses the water as it flows into the ocean. Arrive in Port Elizabeth and head to the airport to fly to Johannesburg.
Day 9 Johannesburg
This morning, tour nearby Soweto, a huge city infused with the history of the struggle against apartheid. Lunch is included, before a whole afternoon to do as you please.
Day 10 Johannesburg to Kruger NP
Travel along the stunning Panorama Route viewing some of South Africa’s most treasured natural wonders, including God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Blyde River Canyon en route to Kruger National Park.
Days 11-12 Kruger NP
Wake up to the incredible sounds of the African bush for an early morning game drive. Look out for the Big 5 before returning to your hotel for a refreshing drink by the pool. On day 12, take another optional game drive, time permitting.
Days 13-14 Fly to the UK
This morning, travel to Johannesburg for your return overnight flight home, arriving on day 14.
