Day 1 Sydney
Arrive in to Sydney and meet your fellow travellers for a welcome meeting.
Day 2 Sydney to Newcastle
Depart for the wine region of the Hunter Valley. With a wildlife ranger, head out in search of koalas and kangaroos, before enjoying a gourmet lunch with cheese, wine and chocolate for which this region is famous. Continue to Newcastle to enjoy an evening of live music in a friendly local pub.
Day 3 Newcastle to Port Macquarie
Enjoy a coastal walk along the scenic Lakes Way and climb up to the lookout for exceptional views across the water. Afterwards, continue to Port Macquarie for a sunset cruise.
Day 4 Port Macquarie to Dorrigo NP
Visit the local koala hospital and meet some of the patients before travelling to Dorrigo National Park, famed for its lush rainforest and waterfalls.
Days 5-6 Dorrigo NP to Byron Bay
After a refreshing dip in the cascading waters of Dangar Falls, travel to the surfer hub of Byron Bay. Visit the local lighthouse sitting on Australia’s most easterly point, perhaps spotting dolphins and whales off the coast. Day 6 is free to explore Byron Bay at leisure.
Day 7 Byron Bay to Noosa Heads
Cross the border into Queensland to sun-kissed Noosa. Explore the national park and head to the coast to take in a spectacular sunset, before perhaps enjoying the vibrant nightlife.
Day 8 Fraser Island
Discover the world’s largest sand island on a 4WD adventure. Swim in a crystal-clear lake and keep your eyes peeled for the resident dingoes on a nature walk before heading back to Noosa this evening.
Days 9-10 Noosa Heads to Airlie Beach
Fly from Brisbane to Proserpine and travel on to Airlie Beach this morning, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. On day 10, enjoy a leisurely cruise around the Whitsundays and stop at the beautiful Whitehaven Beach.
Day 11 Airlie Beach to Mission Beach
Pass through the rolling cane fields en route to Mission Beach, where an afternoon at leisure awaits in this tropical paradise.
Day 12 Mission Beach to Cairns
Continue your journey north through the wet tropics of Tropical North Queensland. Discover a plunge waterfall and take a dip, visit Lake Eacham and admire the famous Curtain Fig Tree as you pass through the Atherton Tablelands en route to Cairns.
Day 13 The Great Barrier Reef
Cruise the famous Great Barrier Reef and explore this magical underwater world, filled with amazing coral and tropical fish. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow travellers.
Day 14 Cairns
After breakfast, your tour comes to an end.
