Days 1-2 Broome
Arrive in Broome and transfer to your hotel. Take a stroll on the white sand of Cable Beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Day 3 Cruise embarkation
Day 4 Buccaneer Archipelago & Adele Island
Sail past the 800 islands that make up the Buccaneer Archipelago and discover Adele Island by Zodiac boat, allowing you to discover this remote island up close. The island is surrounded by reef, teeming with coral and marine life including sharks and stingrays.
Day 5 Talbot Bay & Horizontal falls
Head to Talbot Bay, home to Horizontal Falls. Take an exhilarating ride between the cliffs aboard a high-powered fast boat (subject to tidal conditions) and weave through dramatic rock formations and creeks.
Day 6 Montgomery Reef & Doubtful Bay
Watch Montgomery Reef ‘rise’ out of the sea as the tide ebbs. Discover the reef’s abundant marine life including turtles, manta rays and reef sharks. Relax in the afternoon as you cruise through scenic Doubtful Bay.
Day 7 Careening Bay, Prince Regent Reserve & St George’s Basin
Explore the scenic Careening Bay and visit the historic ‘HMC Mermaid 1820’ baobab tree inscribed by the famed explorer Philip Parker King. Cruise along the Prince Regent River where you may be able to take a cooling dip in a freshwater pool.
Day 8 Prince Frederick Harbour, Hunter River & Mitchell Falls
Arrive at Prince Frederick Harbour, home to soaring red cliffs, mangroves and a huge array of wildlife. Explore the Hunter River and Naturalist Island by Zodiac boat, followed by an optional helicopter flight to the four tiered Mitchell Falls.
Day 9 Bigge Island Guest lecturers will explain Bigge Island’s rock art gallery, created by the Wunambal people and the Aboriginal myths that inspired them.
Day 10 Vansittart Bay & Jar Island
Walk across salt flats to the wreckage of a US Air Force C-53 that crashed here during World War II. Learn about Jar Island’s impressive rock art galleries, thought to be up to 20,000 years old.
Day 11 Koolama Bay & King George River
The mighty King George River is one of The Kimberley’s ‘big’ rivers that you will encounter. Experience the power of the magnificent King George Falls by Zodiac boat, the largest single drop waterfall in Western Australia.
Day 12 Kununurra
Disembark in Wyndham and be transported to Kununurra, where you can marvel at the beautiful sunsets over Lake Argyle.
Day 13 Broome
Fly from Kununurra to Broome for your onward travel.
