The Streets of Zurich

Day 1  Zurich            
Touch down into Zurich and start your holiday with a train ride to the top of Uetliberg Mountain to enjoy glorious views over the city and vistas stretching as far as the enormous Glarus Alps. For a more intimate experience, dine in the Uto Kulm glass restaurant overlooking the city at night – sampling a traditional Swiss rösti with a backdrop of twinkling lights is an unmissable opportunity.            

Day 2  Zurich          
Perhaps start today by exploring the Altstadt old town. Bisected by the turquoise Limmat River, the historic centre is a fascinating blend of medieval streets and squares alongside high-end boutiques and effortlessly cool nightlife. This afternoon, stroll along to Lindenhof Park for sweeping views across the city. Finish the day with a sweet treat at Confiserie Sprüngli café; their towering displays of macaroons are hard to resist.          

Day 3  Zurich          
This morning, head to the city’s most iconic building, the Great Minster, which dominates the city skyline with its two soaring towers. For more impressive architecture, visit Rathaus Town Hall, easily spotted by its richly sculpted décor and section overhanging the river. Stop at the Museum of Fine Arts and immerse yourself in the captivating artwork of Munch, Monet and Van Gogh. Finally, why not finish your day with a peaceful cruise on Lake Zurich for brilliant views of the Alps?          

Day 4  Zurich        
Enjoy your last slice of Swiss cheese before saying farewell to this marvellous city and transferring back to the airport for your flight home.
