Day 1 Negombo
Arrive into Negombo and be transferred to your first hotel where you will meet your fellow travellers.
Day 2 Negombo to Sigiriya
Journey out of the city and discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dambulla and explore the stunning complex of Cave Temples.
Day 3 Sigiriya
Discover more of the Cultural Triangle today as you visit the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya. Learn of the ancient civilisation and climb to the top of the rock for spectacular views across the plains.
Day 4 Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa
Continue exploring the fascinating Cultural Triangle today with a visit to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, littered with archaeological wonders and impeccable Buddha statues. This afternoon, enjoy a safari ride in Minneriya National Park to spot herds of elephants.
Day 5 Polonnaruwa
Journey into the hills on route to Kandy and enjoy a guided tour around the city. See the fascinating Temple of the Tooth and enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan cultural performance.
Day 6 Polonnaruwa to Kandy
Visit the picturesque Royal Botanical Gardens today in Peradeniya, home to over 4,000 exotic flora and fauna. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 7 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Travel into tea country today en route to the beautiful Nuwara Eliya. Learn of the traditional tea making practices and sample some of the finest Ceylon tea in Sri Lanka before a tour of the charming town.
Day 8 Nuwara Eliya to Yala NP
Today, embark on undoubtedly one of the top highlights of the tour, a train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. Travel through lush green hills and marvel at the spectacular scenery as you traverse mountains and valleys en route to Ella.
Day 9 Yala NP
Hop onto a jeep for a morning safari in the outstanding Yala National Park. Home to over 32 species of mammal, this park is jam packed full of incredible wildlife. Try to spot elephants, crocodiles and sloth bears as well as the elusive leopard.
Day 10 Yala NP to Galle
Stop at the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home to see where displaced baby elephants are looked after and rehabilitated. Continue on to the fortified city of Galle complete with stunning Portuguese architecture.
Day 11 Galle to Ahungalla
Enjoy a day at leisure today, perhaps take an optional tour to the Lunuganga Estate.
Day 12 Ahungalla to Colombo
After a morning at leisure, venture to Colombo, home to diverse races, religions and cultures. Go on a guided tour of the city and see many of its major sights. This evening, enjoy a special Farewell Dinner at Lagoon Seafood Restaurant. After, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
