Day 1  Rangoon (Yangon)
Arrive in Rangoon and transfer to your hotel. Relax before meeting your fellow travellers and tour leader this evening.

Day 2  Rangoon to Kyaiktiyo
Stop at Bago, an ancient centre of the  Mon Kingdom and home to the large Shwemawdaw Pagoda. Continue to Mount Kyaiktiyo and explore Golden Rock, a Buddhist place of pilgrimage that offers expansive views across the region.

Day 3  Kyaiktiyo to Rangoon
Stroll around the town of Kyaiktiyo before travelling back to Rangoon to explore this fascinating city further.  

Day 4  Rangoon to Mandalay
Embark on a walking tour of Rangoon this morning before transferring to the airport for a flight to Mandalay, sitting on the banks of the Irrawaddy River.

Days 5-6  Mandalay
Enjoy a river cruise to Mingun, home to the world’s largest pagoda which remains unfinished. Visit the old capital, Amarapura, and watch the sunset over the U Bein Bridge. On day six, enjoy a visit to the Mandalay Palace before an afternoon free to explore.  

Days 7-9  Mandalay to Bagan
Drive alongside the Irrawaddy River to Bagan, watching local life unfold along  the riverbank. Over the next two days, see the ruins of the ancient temple city, the historic centre of Burma’s power and home to thousands of Buddhist temples.  

Day 10  Bagan to Inle Lake
Fly to Heho before driving to Khaungdaing on Inle Lake. Later, perhaps visit nearby Lin Kin village, famous for its floating garden.  

Days 11-12  Inle Lake
Spend a full day exploring the lake, watching the local fishermen with their unique leg-rowing technique. Spot local birdlife and perhaps visit a local market.  On day 12, head to the Indein ruins complex, dating back to the 8th Century and take a hike through the countryside amid hundreds of stupas. Later, enjoy a traditional Shan feast with local specialities.  

Day 13  Inle Lake to Rangoon
Fly back to Rangoon and enjoy an afternoon at leisure. In the evening, visit the famous Shwedagon Pagoda and learn about its history and spiritual significance.

Day 14  Rangoon
Your tour ends after breakfast.
