Day 1 Malacca
Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur drive 2½ hours south to your hotel in Malacca.
Day 2 Malacca
Today discover this beautiful historic city. Visit the Dutch Square, famous for its red painted church, the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum and the colourful shophouses along vibrant Jonker Street.
Day 3 Malacca to Kuala Lumpur
Drive north to Kuala Lumpur and enjoy an afternoon city tour exploring Malaysia’s vibrant capital, including a visit to Merdeka Square, the Royal Selanor Club and the Menara KL Tower for panoramic views.
Day 4 Kuala Lumpur
Spend the morning exploring the Batu Caves. These impressive cave temples are set in towering limestone hills just north of the city.
Day 5 Kuala Lumpur to Taman Negara
Transfer 4 hours by road to Labu Sentral jetty and board a wooden longboat for a scenic 2 hour journey to reach your lodge in Taman Negara. This evening, experience the rainforest at night with a guided walk.
Day 6 Taman Negara
Depart on a guided hike to Teresek Hill for beautiful views of Mount Tahan. In the afternoon, take a thrilling boat trip through a series of rapids to Lata Berkoh and swim in the waterfall’s natural pools.
Day 7 Taman Negara to Cameron Highlands
Drive to the Cameron Highlands, used by the British as a highland retreat during colonial days. Stop en route at Lata Iskandar waterfall and a remote village of the native Orang Asli people.
Day 8 Cameron Highlands
Enjoy spectacular views from Mount Brinchang and walk through the mossy forest area before visiting a local tea factory. In the afternoon embark on a scenic guided nature trek through the rainforest.
Day 9 Cameron Highlands to Penang
Depart for the 7 hour drive to Penang. Stop en route at Ipoh for a short tour of the historic old town. Visit the Sam Poh Tong cave temple before continuing across the Penang Bridge to Georgetown.
Day 10 Georgetown, Penang
This morning enjoy a tour of the historic centre of Georgetown. Start at the impressive Kek Lok Si Buddhist temple before taking a trishaw ride through the bustling streets of Chinatown. Visit Khoo Kong Si, a lavishly decorated Chinese clan house and stop at one of the largest reclining Buddha statues in the world.
Day 11 Penang
Transfer to Batu Ferringhi, Penang’s best known beach destination, or to the airport.
Additional Options:Just 3 hours drive south of Malacca lies the cosmopolitan city of Singapore, the perfect place to start your tour if you have extra time. Shop on the famous Orchard Road, wander the gorgeous botanical gardens and discover the delicious melting pot of exotic cuisine before being picked up to begin your Malaysian private tour.
