Day 1 Jerusalem
Arrive in Jerusalem and transfer to your hotel. Later meet with your tour leader and fellow travellers at a welcome meeting.
Day 2 Jerusalem
After breakfast, take a walking tour of the Old City and visit the Temple Mount, Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque. Continue to the Western Wall, visit Hurva Synagogue in the Jewish Quarter then walk through the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This afternoon, take a trip to the Mount of Olives for stunning views of Jerusalem.
Day 3 Jerusalem
Start the day with a visit to Yad Vashem Memorial to learn about the Holocaust and its ramifications. Next stop is the Israel Museum to view the Dead Sea Scrolls, one of the greatest archaeological finds of the past century. In the evening, join an Israeli chef on a walking tour of Mahane Yehuda Market followed by private cooking class.
Day 4 Jerusalem
Spend today in Bethlehem, starting with a visit to Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity. Afterwards, head to a local women's project for a demonstration of Palestinian cooking and a local lunch. Later you will visit the accredited Bethlehem Bible College for a lecture on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the Palestinian Christian perspective.
Day 5 Jerusalem to Tiberias
Head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Masada, built by King Herod, spend some time exploring Herod’s Palace, the Bathhouse and the Synagogue. After, visit the Dead Sea before continuing along the Jordan Valley north to the Sea of Galilee, stopping at a local Kibbutz community along the way.
Day 6 Tiberias
Enjoy amazing views of the Sea of Galilee with a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes. Learn about the lives of Israeli Arabs on the way to Nazareth, where you visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, one of the largest churches in the Middle East. Stop at a local winery for a tour and private tasting led by a wine expert.
Day 7 Tiberias to Tel Aviv
Journey to the coastal city of Haifa for a visit before heading south to Caesarea Maritima to see the ruins of Herod’s harbour city. Continue to the vibrant city of Tel Aviv, the rest of the day is free to spend at leisure. Take a stroll along the promenade perhaps, the perfect place to find a restaurant or bar for your final evening.
Day 8 Tel Aviv
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast.
