Highlights of Texas by Motorhome

Days 1-2  Houston            
Touchdown in Houston, the fourth largest city in the USA and home to the famous Space Centre, inspiring museums, world class dining and beautiful green spaces. Indulging in some mouth-watering barbecue delicacies, take a stroll through the Historic Heights, venture downtown to discover the thriving professional arts scene or take a break from the bustle of the city and head to the slow-moving Buffalo Bayou River, a 160 acre urban oasis on the banks of Houston.          
Day 3  Houston to Dallas      
Pick up your motorhome and make your way to Dallas.  

Day 4  Dallas            
Perhaps travel to the top of one of Dallas’ most famous landmarks, the Reunion tower, offering full 360 degree views of the beautiful city skyline, or pay a visit to the unique Pioneer Plaza, commemorating the trails that brought settlers to Dallas.

Days 5-6  Fort Worth  
Explore historic Fort Worth, oozing with character and offering plenty to keep you busy. If you time your trip just right you can experience the weekly rodeo, or alternatively why not line dance the night away at the world’s largest Honky Tonk.    
Day 7  Fort Worth to Austin          
Hit the wide open road and journey on to Austin, the live music capital of the world.      

Day 8  Austin            
Head down to the vibrant Sixth Street in the evenings - bustling with trendy bars, restaurants and live entertainment, it has a whole personality of its own. Opt to take a wander around tranquil sculpture gardens, or for adventure seekers Austin offers scenic hiking trails and crystal clear lakes for wild swimming.  

Days 9-10  San Antonio      
Continue on to beautiful San Antonio, a city steeped in history and heritage and basking in Southern charm.            

Day 10  San Antonio          
Stroll along the San Antonio River Walk, a stunning waterway dotted with restaurants, shops and lively bars, or pay a moving visit to the Alamo, one of the most important memorials in the USA and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be sure to visit Market Square - home to a variety of fantastic art museums where San Antonio’s creative community never ceases to amaze.

Day 11  San Antonio to Corpus Christi        
Make your way south to Corpus Christi, an oceanfront city tucked into a bay on the Gulf of Mexico, home to migratory birds and endangered Kemp’s ridley sea turtles.            

Day 12  Corpus Christi      
Unleash your active side with a wide selection of water activities available, simply relax on the beach or visit some of the iconic attractions such as the harbour-side Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington.  

Day 13  Corpus Christi to Galveston      
Next up is Galveston, a charming island city on the Gulf Coast of Texas, alive with art, historic architecture and chic boutiques. Amusement rides and restaurants line the south shore’s Historic Pleasure Pier, and Galveston Island State Park boasts trails, kayak launches and fishing spots. The island is home to unique wildlife, making it the perfect destination for bird watching, fishing and getting back to nature.  

Day 14  Galveston to Houston            
Make the scenic drive back to Houston and drop off your motorhome.
