The Free at Sea™ package includes unlimited drinks for all guests in the stateroom 21 and over, specialty dining (number of nights based on sailing length), 150 minutes of Wi-Fi for all guests in the stateroom, and a $50 credit towards eligible shore excursions (applied to guest 1 on the reservation). ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION POLICY

Passengers must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol whilst on US sailings.

Parental consent is required for guests 18 to 20 to consume only beer and wine whilst vessels is in international waters. Authorisation will be given only when the accompanying parent completes the Young Adult Alcoholic Beverage Waiver form. This form can be obtained and completed at the Guest Services Desk upon embarkation of the vessel. In Alaska and Hawaii waters parental consent is NOT permitted for guests 18 to 20 years old.

Please note that with the exception of Wine and Champagne, all guests are prohibited from bringing alcohol on board our ships. If you purchase any alcohol at one of our ports-of-call or in our onboard shops, we will safely store your purchase(s) and either on the final night of the cruise or the morning of debarkation it will be available for pick up in a designated area.

Wine & Champagne Policy

Guests may bring bottles of wine and champagne on board. When bottles are brought on board and served or consumed in any restaurant, public room area or in their stateroom, a corkage fee will be charged according to bottle sizes noted below.

• 750 ml Bottle: $15.00 USD
• 1,500 ml Magnum: $30.00 USD

Wine or champagne sent directly to the ship by travel agents, friends, family, etc. or from another retail source, are subject to the same fees. Box wines are not allowed on board.

Guests who purchase a beverage package, or who have a beverage package as part of the Free at Sea™ promotion, will not be charged a corkage fee.

* Norwegian encourages the responsible use of alcohol and accordingly reserves the right to permanently or temporarily revoke the drinking privileges of any guest who violates Norwegian's Guest Code of Conduct or who is deemed a danger to himself, herself or others by vessel management. Continued abuse of alcohol whilst sailing and/or violation of Norwegian's alcohol policy may result in immediate disembarkation.

Non-Alcoholic Beverages Policy

Effective for sailings 15 July 2016 and beyond, guests are prohibited from bringing any beverages -- including spirits, beer and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, fizzy drinks and juices -- on board either as hand luggage or hold luggage, with the exception of purified or distilled water in factory-sealed containers for use in conjunction with medical devices or for the reconstitution of infant formula; and fully sealed and/or corked wine bottles for personal consumption on board that is subject to screening and a corkage fee (for guests 21 years of age or older). Open beverages of any kind must be consumed or discarded at the security checkpoint, on embarkation day and at any port of call. This revised policy brings the company in line with other best practice travel security protocols and reduces the need for individual time consuming screening and package inspection of large volumes of beverages.

As the health and well-being of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance, indoor public areas, with the exception of the cigar lounges and the casino, throughout all our ships are smoke-free. Dedicated outdoor areas are assigned to smoking.

Indoor Areas

Cigar Lounge: Cigar smoking is permitted in the designated cigar lounge. Cigarettes, pipe, electronic cigarettes and vapour smoking devices are not permitted in the cigar lounge. 

Casino: Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Encore have a designated smoking room within the Casino. On all other ships, active Casino players may smoke cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and vapour smoking devices in the Casino during gaming hours. Cigar and pipe smoking is not permitted in the Casino.

Staterooms: Guests are not permitted to smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipe, electronic cigarettes and vapour devices in their staterooms or on their balconies. Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a $250 USD cleaning charge added to your onboard account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels or carpeting are detected; guests will be advised and charged for the damages. Guests in the Garden Villas may smoke in their private garden and on their private sun decks.

Outdoor Areas

Smoking, including cigars, pipe, electronic cigarettes and vapour smoking devices, is not permitted in or near venues serving food, the jogging track, outdoor sporting venues, children's pool areas, Vibe Beach Club, Posh Beach Club or The Waterfront.

We have Internet/Wi-Fi available on all of our ships. Our Internet Café Manager will be able to assist during posted hours with any questions / concerns you may have during your cruise with us.

For interested guests, upgraded Wi-Fi packages are still available for purchase:

• Voyage Wi-Fi Pass (1.5MBPS) for $29.99 per stateroom per day.
• Streaming Voyage Wi-Fi Pass for $39.99 per stateroom per day.

A physician and nurse are on each ship to provide medical care and services at customary charges. Commonly used medications are kept on board and may be prescribed by the ship's doctor.

Dedicated Team of Access Coordinators

Experienced travel professionals specifically trained to assist guests with disabilities and special needs are available to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and accessible cruising experience. Our Accessibility Coordinators will contact each guest after receiving their Accessibility & Medical Questionnaire. Assistance continues on board through Access Officers who manage special needs throughout the cruise.

Communication and Coordination

An exclusive Access Desk team within the Reservations Department ensures that all service requests are documented and communicated to cruise staff and the Access Officers on board. Guests are encouraged to discuss every aspect of their travel needs, including transportation, cabin accommodations, and shore excursions, to ensure a smooth experience.

Advance Notice and Preparation Requirements

To accommodate special requirements effectively, guests are advised to inform the Access Desk at least 90 days for interpreters and 45 days for other needs. Providing detailed information allows Norwegian Cruise Line to prepare appropriately, ensuring that all reasonable needs are met during the cruise. In some cases, guests may need to arrange alternative travel if specific safety criteria cannot be met.

Guests with special medical diets and/or food allergies should contact the Access Desk to discuss Norwegian Cruise Line's policies and procedures concerning special diets and your specific allergies prior to your cruise. Because the vessels are supplied all over the world, it may be easier to meet your specific food allergy requirements in some countries, but very difficult in others. Special dietary requests should be submitted at least 45 days prior to sailing. Any requests inside 45 days cannot be guaranteed. We can arrange to have no sugar and low sodium meals for guests with those specific medical dietary restrictions upon request. Refrigerators are available upon request for storing insulin.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Due to government regulations, Norwegian Cruise Line is unable to store medication or perishable goods in areas outside the stateroom.
• Guests may bring shelf-stable, factory sealed, nonperishable snacks.

Kosher Dining

Norwegian Cruise Line offers Kosher dining options during your cruise with advanced notice. Simply contact our reservations experts at 0333 2412319 at least 30 days prior to your sail date and they will make note of your dining preference. For select itineraries listed below, Kosher dining preferences must be communicated no later than 90 days prior to sailing:

• Africa/Madagascar sailings from embarkation ports in Mauritius, Dubai, and South Africa
• Antarctica sailings from embarkation ports in Argentina
• Sailings from embarkation ports in Asia
• Sailings from embarkation ports in Europe and the UK, including Transatlantic sailings
• South Pacific sailings from embarkation ports in Fiji and/or French Polynesia

If it is within 30 or 90 days of your sailing, as applicable, please contact 1-800-327-7030 so that a notation can be made on your reservation and the onboard staff will be able to assist you in making your meal selections on embarkation day.

Norwegian Cruise Line accepts service dogs that are trained to perform a specific task. A service dog may be needed for many different conditions, which would be acceptable under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.

In accordance with the ADA, Norwegian Cruise Line does NOT accept “Emotional Support” dogs as service dogs, they CANNOT sail.

• Guests must provide copies of the dog’s current vaccination records that show all shots are up-to-date (including Rabies), as well as a USDA or International Health certificate
• Guests are responsible for checking with all ports of call for any special requirements they may have. Guests are responsible for bringing all food, medication and life jacket for the dog
• A relief box will be provided

All guests travelling with service animals must book at least two weeks in advance to allow enough time to check with each port of call and provide Norwegian Cruise Line with all required documentation.

*Please note, whilst we accept service dogs that are trained to perform a specific task onboard our ships, due to local restrictions and requirements, not all ports of call may allow you to go ashore.

*Please note, due to government requirements and restrictions, guests embarking or disembarking the ship in an Icelandic port are unable to fly into or out of Iceland with a service animal unless they fulfil certain quarantine conditions upon arrival to Iceland. If your itinerary includes a visit to an Icelandic port of call, not embarking or disembarking, you will be able to sail with your service animal but you will not be able to go ashore whilst in port.

For guests who cannot walk on their own, a wheelchair, scooter or walker may be the primary mobility assistance aid for getting on and off the ship. Norwegian Cruise Line has a limited supply of wheelchairs onboard. In order to accommodate our guests, Norwegian Cruise Line wheelchairs are reserved exclusively for embarkation and disembarkation situations. The limited supply of wheelchairs onboard are available for emergency rental arrangements and are on a first come first serve basis.

Wheelchair-accessible staterooms are available on all our ships. We recommend you book well in advance as possible as availability is limited. Accessible staterooms offer wider door frames, roll in showers, shower benches, high-rise toilets and handrails in shower and toilet area.

Motorised wheelchairs and scooters are allowed in our accessible staterooms provided that they are powered by gel-cell batteries and the chargers must be adaptable to 110 volts. Should you choose a stateroom that has not been designated as accessible, you will need to bring a collapsible wheelchair, or if you have a motorised wheelchair or scooter, the width must not exceed 66 cm to enter the stateroom door. All scooters and wheelchairs MUST be stored in the stateroom. Due to the safety and escape way requirements established by SOLAS regulations, they cannot be stored in the hallways, stairways, or any other public area. Beach wheelchairs can be rented for use on Norwegian Cruise Line's private island.

At Norwegian Cruise Line, we will attempt to provide our Deaf or Low Hearing guests with an enjoyable cruise, which means making every attempt to make the technology available to assist Deaf and Low Hearing guests during your Freestyle cruise experience. We strongly encourage Deaf or Low Hearing guests to contact the Access Desk prior to cruising so that your specific needs can be discussed prior to your cruise. Many different options are available prior to the cruise and needs vary from guest to guest.

Amenities and Services include:

• Embarkation day meeting with staff member who will see to your accessibility needs during the cruise
• The Sky, Sun and Pride of America have staterooms that are hard wired for Deaf and Low Hearing guests which includes a visual-tactile alert system to alert you if there is knocking at the door, telephone ringing, alarm ringing or smoke detection
• On those vessels where rooms have not been hardwired, a portable kit is available upon request in your stateroom that includes a visual-tactile alert system to alert you if there is knocking at the door, telephone ringing, alarm ringing or smoke detection
• Pagers are available upon request on all Norwegian Cruise Line vessels to alert Deaf or Low Hearing Guests to vessel announcements and a manual for same can be provided in advance
• Assistive listening devices are available on many vessels in the main theatre through the Guest Service Desk
• Closed-captioned televisions are available for your state room
• Closed-captioned movies are available on the 'New Movie Release' channel. A DVD player may be requested if a guest wishes to bring their own DVD movies from home
• Sign language interpreting services may be provided for Deaf guests if that is their primary means of communication. A request for sign language interpreting, only on sailings that depart from and/or return to a port in the United States, can be made with the Access Desk through the Accessibility & Medical Questionnaire, no later than 90 days prior to sailing. Requests are subject to a number of considerations, including but not limited to, the availability of interpreters and cabin space. A request for an interpreter with less than 90 days' notice may still be granted but cannot be guaranteed
• TTY Phones are available onboard all ships except Norwegian Spirit that use handy phones and text messaging. The guest can request that the phone in their room be replaced with a TTY phone and this will enable them to communicate with the Guest Services Desk staff by teletype

Children with Disabilities

Children with disabilities are welcome on all Norwegian Cruise Line vessels. Please contact the Access Desk to discuss Norwegian Cruise Line's policies and procedures regarding children with disabilities and how we can assist you in making your child's cruising experience safe, fun and comfortable.

Cognitive, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Guests with cognitive, intellectual and development disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease are encouraged to contact the Access Desk to discuss your cruise. Upon request, every effort will be made to meet your cruising special requirements, including:

Beauty parlour and spa services include hair styling, manicures, pedicures, facials and massages in our Mandara Spa Salon. Gift shops feature duty-free shopping, with fine jewellery, perfumes, clothing, cosmetics and limited chemist items. Laundry & dry-cleaning services. Internet Café. Art auctions. Photographs taken throughout the cruise.

Each person is allowed up to two pieces of personal luggage on board, with each piece weighing a maximum of 22.7 kilograms. However, if passengers are travelling by air, they need to check with the airline for specific restrictions.

Travel Tips:

Luggage that is being hand-carried must be able to fit thru the x-ray machines, similar to aeroplanes if larger than that it must be checked. (Approximately 61 cm tall and 46 cm wide)

We recommend that guests hand-carry medication, jewellery, breakables, or other valuables, an extra set of clothes for the first evening on board, and important documents (I.e Passports and Travel Documents)

Attire

Our restaurants set the mood for making memories. Some guests love to dress up. Others keep it easy and laid-back. That’s exactly how we like it. Think sunset-ready, relaxed resort — a sailaway state of mind. You’ll see your go-to shorts with a collared shirt, statement sandals, breezy linens, crisp denim, easy dresses, button-downs with personality — and others who turn it into a special occasion, especially at our more elevated specialty restaurants.

We simply ask that attire feels put-together and suited to the setting — shirts and footwear required, graphics respectful, and styles that offer appropriate coverage for a dining environment. Swimwear should be saved for the pool and extremely short shorts for other activities.

Because out here, there’s no one right look. Just your look.

The currency used on board our ships is the U.S. dollar. We’ve made paying for on-board expenses very easy. When you check in you open a shipboard account by registering a major credit card such as VISA®, MasterCard® or American Express® . If you prefer to pay by cash or traveller’s cheques, a suggested deposit for a 7-night cruise is US dollar 300 per person, US dollar 150 per person for cruises up to 6 nights or US dollar 450 per person for cruises of 8 nights and more at check-in (subject to change). Then, you simply sign for your personal expenses as you go and they will be charged to your account.

Important: When your credit card is entered to activate your on-board account, an initial approval is obtained from the bank. Please be advised that some banks may hold the pre-authorisation for up to 30 days. Throughout the voyage incremental holds will be obtained based on your on-board expenditure. This will reduce the amount of available credit on the credit card or restrict the availability of cash in your bank account.

Travellers checks and most major credit cards are accepted in the ports we visit. Proper ID is required when cashing travellers checks. We recommend you carry a small amount of local currency when visiting foreign ports, although credit cards are commonly accepted in shops and restaurants.
