infoUseful Information

info
Disabled Facilities

Reasonable efforts are made to accommodate the special needs of disabled cruise participants, but no responsibility will be undertaken for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Tour buses are not equipped with wheelchair ramps and cabin doors are not wide enough to allow access by standard wheelchairs.

Wheelchairs and walkers cannot be carried on tour buses, due to space limitations. Wheelchair passengers should be aware of these limitations. For safety reasons, passengers in wheelchairs cannot be carried on ramps in ports where the ship is at anchor. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking, getting on/off tour busses and other transportation vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified travel companion must accompany travellers who need assistance.

info
Dietary Requirements

Please advise your Travel Agent or call us directly to advise if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies prior to embarkation. In most cases, we will do our best to accommodate special dietary requests and food allergies, but with one exception: Kosher. This diet has specific rules regarding food and its preparation and the shipboard environment does have limitations that prevent us from being able to adequately cater to this dietary need. Please note, though we can provide options to accommodate food allergies and sensitivities, we cannot guarantee there will not be any cross-contamination.

info
Age Restrictions

Minors under the age of 18 travelling to foreign countries must be accompanied by an adult and have a notarised letter of consent signed by the parent(s) not travelling with them. Parents, guardians and chaperones are responsible for overseeing the conduct of minors in their care. As such, minors may not be left unsupervised on board the ship. A parent or legal guardian MUST accompany children under the age of 18 on all tours for safety and liability reasons. Please contact the Reservations Team for more information.

info

Many hotels and cruise ships have this facility available, at times complimentary and other times at a cost. For passengers travelling to remote locations, there may be no internet facilities for a period of time.

info
Medication

If you have a food allergy or medical condition which needs to be managed on tour, please advise your Booking Agent before departure, and inform your Tour Director on arrival. It is also worth packing a small medical kit, as even though there will be pharmacies along your tour, they can be difficult to access, and a prescription may be required for some medications.

  • A general-purpose antibiotic (e.g. azithromycin)
  • Cold and flu medication
  • Your preferred pain medication
  • Medicine for gastronomic upsets
  • Band aids and blister pads

info
Luggage & Packaging

The majority of Travelmarvel tours only allow 16kg to 20kg of luggage. When packing, consider the season of the destination you are travelling to, even in summer many destinations get cooler in the evenings, so it is a good idea to pack a jumper/jacket. We recommend packing light to medium weight clothing as well as rainwear in case of cooler or wet weather. Good walking shoes are must.
