Nyungwe Forest National Park Holidays

Rwanda’s vast mountainous rainforest, Nyungwe Forest National Park, is renowned for its incredible biodiversity with 13 species of primates and over 300 species of birds.

Located in south western Rwanda, the area was established as a national park in 2004 and boasting a large population of habituated chimpanzees, it’s a great place to see these amazing creatures.

Other notable species include the Ruwenzori colobus and L’Hoest’s (mountain) monkey, and let’s not forget this spectacular forest has an abundance of towering mahogany and ebony trees, orchids and butterflies.
