Mara Serena Safari Lodge

This large lodge enjoys a fantastic location high on a ridge above the Mara River. Mara Serena is the only permanent lodge located within the more-secluded Mara Triangle area of the Masai Mara National Reserve, the ideal location for viewing the annual wildebeest migration from July to October. Wildlife in this section of the reserve is excellent, with a high density of predators and one of the prime locations for increasing your chances of spotting the rare black rhino.

A variety of experiences are available to book at the lodge to explore the surroundings, including 4WD game drives, hot air balloon safaris, and visits to a local village to learn more about Masai culture. Designed in the style of a traditional Masai village with kitsch décor, the lodge boasts great facilities including a spa, gym, sauna, steam room and lovely pool with views across the game rich plains. In the evening, enjoy drinks on the terrace before dining on a wide range of international options and Kenyan delicacies in the main restaurant.

The 74 fan-cooled Standard Rooms feature a warm African-inspired décor with Masai art and offer lovely views from the private balcony. For additional space, the Mara Suite offers a separate living area, bedroom, and two private balconies for enjoying marvellous river views.
