President Hotel

The hotel brands itself on being "Cape Town's most loved hotel". I find it hard to disagree. There is a really lovely atmosphere at this place that gives the vibe of a city hotel with a resort atmosphere - befitting it's location in Bantry Bay.

We wanted to be by the sea in Cape Town for morning strolls along the promenade with the locals, with easy access to Camps Bay and Clifton beaches. Bantry Bay also gives you shops restaurants and bars on your doorstep.

The first few days we used Uber to get around, then had a car for our last 2 days to visit Cape Point, Bloubergstrand (Table View), Kirstenbosch, and Constantia.

The pool is not heated but in April it is still nice. We were there over Easter weekend with lots of South African families staying for the holiday the hotel has a lively, but but not too lively, atmosphere with lovely staff. The whole family loved this hotel and location.

We had a Signature Family Ocean Suite, which was perfect for our family.

Top tip: This is a great option for those wanting an alternative to staying at the V&A Waterfront or the City Bowl area.
