The Bush Camp Chiang Mai

This delightful camp offers guests the chance to encounter Thailand's majestic elephants in their natural environment and to explore the way of life of the mahouts, their families and the local Karen hilltribe.

The Bush Camp Safari, 3 Day Adventure Package.


Day 1  is spent with the elephants, with the opportunity to prepare their food, and to observe the duties of the mahouts (elephant keepers) in their daily life. You will meet with the mahouts’ families and sample some of their cooking before a Thai feast overlooking the river, plains and mountains beyond.

Day 2  will start at the free-roaming forest where you will watch the elephants being washed and learn more about the work that is done here while you enjoy a traditional coffee and breakfast. This is followed by an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the stunning surroundings of this epic camp or a final lunch before your onward journey if you are booked onto the 2 day package.

Day 3  includes a trip to Elephant Valley to see the elephants roaming free. Afterwards head back to camp for a final lunch before your onward journey.


Please note due to health and safety regulations, The Bush Camp is not suitable for pregnant women. Due to the nature of the tours, this package is not suitable for people who are not fully mobile. Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed at time of booking and clients may be asked to sign a waiver locally. No children 3 & under.
