Elephant Hills Tented Camp - 3 Night Jungle & Lake Camp Safari

Award-winning Elephant Hills provides safari-style luxury camp experiences which are perfect for couples and families alike. Both of their camps in Khao Sok National Park - the Elephant Camp and the Lake Camp - offer a host of engaging and exciting included activities. These immersive stays allow for a true appreciation of the natural beauty of this stunning region and the wildlife that calls it home.

This package includes a stay at both the Elephant Camp and the Lake Camp.

Day 1 Elephant Camp

Transfer to Elephant Hills and check in to your comfortable tent at the Elephant Camp. After lunch, head off on your elephant experience to observe these majestic creatures in a free roaming environment. The experience lasts an hour or so and during this time you will learn about Elephant Hills’ conservation efforts. You will also hear the individual back stories of these gentle giants who were formerly employed in the logging industry, so unable to be returned safely to the wild. You can prepare food for the elephants before they are fed by their mahouts (elephant carers) to ensure each gets their fair share. There is also the opportunity this afternoon to sit back and enjoy a canoe safari along the Sok River, taking in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding rainforest as your guide points out various wildlife. Back at the camp this evening, enjoy either a dance performance, a cooking demonstration or a movie presentation.

Day 2 Elephant Camp

Wake up to the sounds of nature and birds calling from the vegetation surrounding your tent. After a leisurely breakfast, drive to the west coast before boarding a speedboat to explore the mysterious maze of channels in the mangrove forest here. Your guide will point out wildlife as you go and as a wide variety of bird species inhabit this area – do be sure to bring your binoculars. There is an opportunity to further explore in a self-paddled canoe before stopping for lunch on a classic Burmese junk. Later, return to your camp. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure for you to relax on the veranda of your tent or take a refreshing dip in the camp’s pool.

Day 3 Elephant Camp to Lake Camp

After breakfast, take a sightseeing longtail boat trip on Cheow Larn Lake which lies at the heart of Khao Sok National Park, keeping your eye out for elephants, monkeys, birds and reptiles. Arrive at the Lake Camp, surrounded by picturesque limestone mountains and dramatic karst cliffs. Check in to one of the floating safari-style glamping tents at Thailand's first floating camp. After lunch, take the opportunity to use the self-paddle canoes or stand up paddle boards to explore the calm waters of the lake before heading out on a jungle trek with a guide. You’ll see a great variety of exotic plants, tropical hardwood trees and beautiful orchids as you explore one of the world’s oldest rainforests. Look out for colourful butterflies, hornbills and gibbons or monkeys swinging through the branches overhead. Enjoy dinner at the camp with the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 4 Lake Camp

Wake to the sounds of gibbons calling high up in the trees, whilst the clearing mist unveils the true beauty of the lake in front of you. Perhaps take a refreshing early morning dip in the lake before breakfast. Later enjoy a canoe safari with a guide. After a delicious lunch, it’s time to bid farewell to the lake as you transfer to your onward destination.
