Cape Kudu Hotel, Koh Yao Noi

This is an amazing hotel. I absolutely loved my stay here. The hotel itself was fabulous, but also all the people and the atmosphere there was so nice and the island is such a hidden gem, so different to other beach areas and such a lovely way to escape the busier areas. The manager was so welcoming along with all the staff and happily showed us around and was always checking in with us and other guests to make sure everything was ok. They also gave us little gifts when we left of a bracelet, soap, and a card with the playlist of the music that had been playing during our stay. These were lovely little features.

Even though it is a boutique hotel, it felt like it was bigger than it actually is. The grounds are beautifully kept, and you feel like you are in the middle of nature when walking around. The pool area was overlooking the bay and had some of the most spectacular views and sunset. There's a smaller pool that's adults only which feels more hidden away and was lovely to relax by too. The reception area is very welcoming, and they have a games room, that's lovely to relax in as well. What I really loved is that they have lots of complimentary activities each day e.g. yoga, bicycle hire, ice bath, tuk tuk around the island, batik painting, a half day boat trip to the islands nearby. It's great that they provide so many for and then there are others you can pay to do if staying longer. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to do them all but did the tuk tuk round the island and the boat trip to Koh kudu, Koh Roi & Big Tree. Both tours were great and I really loved the boat trip. It was so nice to be able to go out swimming and exploring the smaller islands. We loved staying by the pool whilst here as the views were just spectacular.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It had all the amenities you need for your stay and was beautifully decorated.

The breakfasts were very tasty and with a good choice of dishes. Everything was so fresh and the restaurant had such a wonderful view over the bay, that you just wanted to spend ages there in the morning. They had some really nice light bites on the menu for during the day which was great and the menu for dinner time was really good, with a nice mix of local and international dishes. We were treated to a complimentary dinner which was so delicious. I had the Thai green curry and it was one of the best that I had. The prices for food and drinks were quite reasonable as well.

The location is on the east coast of the island so there are amazing views and as the island is so small, it's easy to cycle around or rent a motorbike.

The island is the perfect place for anyone who want to go somewhere quieter, more authentic and have a relaxing time. There's a lot more nature here and it's really a hidden gem that is definitely worth visiting. I loved it here and really felt at home in the hotel and got to know the staff.
