Rayavadee

Wow wow wow - I was absolutely blown away by Rayavadee!

Location wise it could not be better. It is set in a tropical paradise with an abundance of wildlife. On either side of the resort you have two of Thailand's most beautiful beaches - Railay and Phra Nang which are really popular for day trips from Krabi. These are pretty much only accessible by boat unless staying at Rayavadee which gives you direct access. I loved this as I was able to enjoy these beaches in the morning and late afternoon/evening outside of peak hours and also avoiding the hottest times of day. About 10 minutes walk from the hotel is Railay town were you can get local food and enjoy a bit of nightlife.

I stayed in a deluxe pavilion and absolutely loved the set-up and design of the villa, which felt both traditional and inkeeping with the natural setting of the resort. The pavilions are split over two levels, the lower being a lounge area and the upper being the bedroom and bathroom. The lounge could also be used to accommodate a third person which would have been very spacious and comfortable to do so. There were windows all around the pavilion which allowed in so much light and really made you feel immersed in the jungle-like grounds

The facilities at the resort were amazing. I loved the pool area which was enormous and despite the hotel being at capacity whilst I was staying, never felt busy.

Food at the hotel was fantastic. The grotto restaurant located in cave over looking Phang Nga Bay is a must during your stay!

This hotel should be booked for a minimum of three nights to get the most out of being there. However, I would recommend to stay for much longer. There is enough on offer at the resort and nearby to keep you busy and happy for however long you may wish to stay

Top tip: Kayaks and paddle boards are free to rent from the water sports centre and are an amazing way to explore the beaches of the island!
