Berry Island Wilderness Lodge

Experience an unforgettable wilderness escape at this wonderful lodge set in a protected harbour in the Broughton Archipelago – British Columbia’s largest marine park and a wildlife wonderland. Warm, inviting design welcomes you at this cosy lodge, with 12 rooms located either floating or on stilts perched above the water.

Accessible by boat from Alder Bay near Port Hardy, Berry Island offers many opportunities to connect with the natural world, and activities can be tailored to the size of each group and your preferences, while passionate guides ensure you have optimal chances of seeing wildlife. Travel deep into the surrounding estuaries by boat in search of grizzly and black bears, and perhaps choose a marine tour to find Orca or the majestic Humpback Whale, Dall’s Porpoises or Pacific White Sided Dolphins.

Enjoy hearty meals at the lodge, served either in the lovely dining room or out on the veranda if the weather permits.
