Tweedsmuir Park Lodge - Bear Adventure

This excellent lodge is set within Tweedsmuir Provincial Park and offers outstanding bear viewing from August to October. The individual log chalets blend seamlessly with the environment, offering the chance to see local wildlife, including grizzly and black bears, ambling across the lawn.

Take a boat tour on the incredible Atnarko River and try to spot grizzly bears fishing on the shore. Venture out to the wildlife viewing station located minutes from the chalet, an idyllic area offering panoramic views across the river, making it a haven for bear viewing. Alternatively, choose from a fantastic range of wilderness activities including bear tracking and great hiking options to fully appreciate the spectacular river from a different perspective or view the beautiful Stillwater Lake.

Enjoy generous breakfasts, either trailside picnics or lunch at the lodge and a three-course dinner at the Split Rock Restaurant. With locally sourced ingredients inspired by the region’s natural surroundings, dine by the cosy fireside or take in the fresh air outside on the deck.
