Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos

Constructed each year with new and creative designs, the Arctic SnowHotel offers a truly unforgettable experience. Marvel at the beautifully carved artwork of snow and ice that adorns all areas of its interior. Enjoy a frosted drink in the hotel’s unique ice bar, savour a dinner in the ice restaurant and even book in an experience in the snow sauna.

Opt to bring nature into the heart of your stay by experiencing a magical night in a glass igloo and witness night sky’s wonders from the comforts of your bed. Each glass igloo is equipped with a Northern Lights alarm, should they make an appearance.

There is a range of activities on offer at the property dependent on the time of year. From September to October, relax by the fire on a floating deck on Lake Lehtojarvi and watch the annual creation of one of the world’s largest snow hotels. Choose to take a guided tour around the ‘machine room’, a large solar-cooled warehouse where all the ice sculptures are carved. Between November and early December, witness the magic of the first snowfall as the forests transform into a pristine, white wonderland. Explore the surrounding area with the complimentary snowshoes, sleds and kick sledges and visit a small reindeer farm where you can feed them. From mid-December to the end of March, make the most of the wide array of quintessential winter experiences, including the large snow slide, perfect for a fun moment during the day or evening. Don’t miss a visit to Santa Claus Village with a thrilling husky ride or delight in reindeer sleigh rides across the snowy landscapes.

Superior Snow Room: each snow room features its own unique art carvings, equipped with sleeping bags and a mattress atop an ice-formed bedframe. There is no ensuite bathroom although the hotel has male and female shower and bathroom facilities.

Glass Igloo: comfortable room with a heated glass dome roof, perfect for stargazing and seeking the magical Northern Lights.
