H10 Marina Barcelona

H10 Marina Barcelona has a stylish and eclectic lobby and bar area, with colourful Spanish tiling, vintage botanical sketches on the walls and am impressive split-level wall of potted plants which spans from a cosy library area down to an eye-catching restaurant and dedicated wine cellar. This level of detail is found throughout the public areas.

The hotel is set about a 15-20 minute walk from the beach and another 15 minutes to the city centre, so perhaps is not ideally placed, but it does mean that it is larger than the more central hotels (and there are also two nearby subway stations).

There are two pools, one indoor and one on the roof which has a nice solarium and bar area for soaking up the sun in between sightseeing. There is also a small gym and spa treatment rooms.

This might make a good fit for a family would like larger rooms and access to two pools and the beach, or perhaps someone who has been to Barcelona before and is happy to stay slightly away from the crowds.

Top tip: Although I didn’t have a chance to do this, the restaurant has a great setting with a central water feature and would be a lovely place to dine if you don’t fancy going back into the centre of an evening. Especially after a drink on the rooftop! You can also use this hotel as a base for exploring the beachfront.
