Al Zorah Beach Resort

The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah is a stunning hotel with lots of space and very nice public areas and rooms. As expected, the staff are also lovely and will do anything to help, with lots of lovely little touches during your stay.

We arrived early and they checked us in within half an hour, and took us to our Seaview Room with great views over the pool and gardens. The room had a very large bed, lovely decor, a great coffee machine and plenty of plugs, plus a separate dressing room for your clothes/cases to keep the room tidy. The bathroom was huge with a huge shower and bathtub plus the usual amazingly scented Oberoi bath products.

By the pool, the sun loungers were extremely comfortable and there was poolside service so you can order drinks to your sun lounger. They also offered complimentary water and ice lollies, and the staff were very attentive.

The location is a bit of a way from anything, so I’d suggest this as a great little stopover on the way to/from somewhere else for a bit of relaxation if you’re looking for a beach break but don't fancy Dubai. The mangroves nearby have flamingos, and you can do kayaking trips around this area for approx. GBP40pp. If you like birds, there are some spectacular ones around the hotel! They also have a range of complimentary activities such as yoga and falconry shows - a timetable is in your room. There’s also a range of paid excursions/activities such as wine tasting and kayaking, and during high season they also have a shuttle to Dubai that runs twice a week.
