Explora El Chaltén

Explora El Chaltén is set in a stunning location and has many unique selling points to set it apart from other properties in this area.

Its location is Los Huemules Conservation Reserve, half an hour away from the main town and on the hikes within this area we could spend the whole day trekking without seeing other tourists.

The views are spectacular. I stayed in a suite, and I went to sleep with the blinds open just to wake up and have a view across the valley towards the glacier.

On your first afternoon you are given a presentation and a guide will sit down with you to go through all the activities and make recommendations based on your experience and fitness. The guides go through specialist training, and we always felt in safe hands in the wilderness. The whole team really do make the experience, the training they get sounds first class. I've stayed at a few Exploras and the staff really do enjoy working at the lodges.

The dining is exceptional; they use local and organic ingredients and I had a well-balanced diet that kept us fit for the excursions on offer.
