Treasures of Egypt & the Nile

Days 1-3  Cairo  
Fly to Cairo and upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a welcome dinner. Over the next few days, tour the Giza Plateau with your Egyptologist guide and visit the Grand Egyptian Museum. Wander through Cairo’s historic old town before experiencing the sights and sounds of the Khan el Khalili bazaar.      

Day 4  Board Travelmarvel Sirius    
After breakfast, fly from Cairo to Luxor and visit the vast Karnak Temple complex. Transfer to the Nile River to board your river ship, the Travelmarvel Sirius before exploring the beautiful Luxor Temple.

Day 5  Luxor    
Rise early to visit the Dendera Temple complex and explore the Temple of Hathor. Return to your river ship for lunch and enjoy a scenic sail back to Luxor. Stroll the iconic Avenue of the Sphinxes before cruising to Esna this evening.      

Day 6  Edfu and Aswan    
Step ashore to discover Esna Temple followed by a visit to Edfu to explore the Temple of Horus. Later, return to your river ship and sail towards Aswan for an overnight stay.  

Day 7  Aswan    
This morning, tour the impressive High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the magnificently preserved Philae Temple. Later, glide along the Nile aboard a traditional felucca and take in the tranquil charm of Aswan.  

Day 8  Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo    
Fly to the awe-inspiring temples of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Abu Simbel to explore this monumental complex with your Egyptologist guide. Afterwards, fly back to Aswan spend the afternoon sailing north along the Nile towards Kom Ombo.    

Day 9  Kom Ombo and Luxor    
Step ashore to explore Kom Ombo Temple before enjoying a relaxing sail back to Luxor.  

Day 10  Luxor    
This morning, visit the spectacular Colossi of Memnon before discovering the Valley of the Kings and Queens, and stepping into the enchanting Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This evening, attend a special Farewell Dinner on board.      

Day 11  Disembark in Luxor      
Disembark Travelmarvel Sirius and transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
