Morocco's Ancient Cities and Kasbahs

Days 1-2  Marrakech  
Fly to Marrakech, Morocco’s first historical capital and imperial city. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. The next day, embark on a guided tour of ancient Marrakech, at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains. Later, explore the winding alleys of the souks and stalls of Djemaa El Fna Square.  

Day 3  Marrakech to Casablanca  
This morning, travel by train to the elegant and modern city of Casablanca. Enjoy a guided tour of Morocco’s largest city.  

Day 4  Casablanca to Fez  
Travel by coach to Rabat this morning and enjoy a guided tour of the city. Later, board the train to Fez.  

Day 5  Fez  
A city tour of Fez awaits after breakfast this morning, the oldest of the four imperial cities. Your afternoon is free to continue exploring or relax at the hotel.  

Day 6  Fez to Erfoud  
Travel south by coach and discover the fascinating Berber fortified mountain villages known as Ksars en route to Erfoud.

Day 7  Erfoud to Merzouga  
Begin the day with a short coach journey to the desert town of Rissani. After, travel the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to the Saharan village of Merzouga. Spend the night at The Sandy Tents, a luxury campsite in the dunes.  

Day 8  Merzouga to Boumalne Dades  
Today, continue through rugged mountains and pass traditional Berber villages and the ruins of fascinating kasbahs before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. Arrive at Boumalne Dadès, a small town set against the backdrop of rugged red rock formations.  

Day 9  Boumalne Dades to Marrakech
Begin the return journey to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains. In the evening, gather for the final dinner.  

Day 10  Fly home
