Day 1  Kigali, Rwanda to Volcanoes NP            
Upon arrival transfer to your lodge near Volcanoes National Park, with a stop to visit the market at Musanze en route, if time permits. If your flight arrives early morning we recommend you instead add in a tour of Kigali and the Genocide Memorial, a sombre but poignant reminder of the 1994 genocide. Please ask your consultant for further details.          

Day 2  Volcanoes NP to Kigali      
Join your group for an early morning briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette before entering the national park. The trek can be tiring and may take up to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located, but the sight of these amazing primates in their natural habitat makes it all worthwhile. Once they have been spotted, you will spend a fascinating hour in their company before trekking back. After lunch drive back to Kigali.          

Day 3  Kigali to Serengeti NP, Tanzania      
Rise early for a light aircraft flight to Serengeti National Park. Transfer to your camp for lunch and later enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Day 4  Serengeti NP      
Spend today exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the Big 5. Why not add a hot air balloon safari for the ultimate game viewing adventure?  

Day 5  Serengeti NP to Karatu      
Head south through the Serengeti plains. Stop for a picnic lunch and visit a village to gain an insight into the life of the Iraqw people before arriving at your lodge in the Karatu area of the Ngorongoro Highlands.        

Day 6  Ngorongoro Crater      
Drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend through the early morning mists to the crater floor, home to an immense number of animals. Enjoy a full day’s game drive and a picnic lunch in this spectacular natural wonder.        

Day 7  Karatu to Arusha      
Travel through the highlands passing scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations before arriving in Arusha for lunch and a transfer to the airport.
