Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Cape Town
Days 2-3 Cape Town to Stellenbosch
Pick up your car at Cape Town airport and head east through rolling valleys to Stellenbosch, your home for the next two nights. Spend a day visiting some of the region’s most famous cellar doors on the Stellenbosch Vine Hopper.
Days 4-5 Stellenbosch to Hermanus Lagoon
Continue on to pretty Hermanus and its expansive lagoon, where 4★ Mosaic Lagoon Lodge awaits. A true lakeside haven surrounded by mountains and tranquil forests, enjoy a host of seasonal activities, from guided nature walks and bird-watching to kayaking and scenic boat cruises.
Days 6-8 Hermanus Lagoon to Cape Town
Drive back to Cape Town and discover the foodie scene of the city on a fabulous guided food tour, relax into the laidback pace of Camps Bay and join a Cape Point & Peninsula Tour to soak up spectacular views and watch the amusing antics of the penguins on Boulders Beach.
Day 9 Cape Town to Midlands Meander
Today, catch a flight to Durban for the start of your ‘KZN’ adventure. Pick up your car and head to 4★ Cleopatra’s Mountain Farmhouse, widely renowned as a culinary gem. Tonight, enjoy a sumptuous dinner included in your stay.
Days 10-11 Midlands Meander to the Northern Drakensberg
The stunning Drakensberg Mountains are an outdoor lover’s playground! Enjoy horseriding and bike trails, or explore the many streams, caves and waterfalls found in the surrounding valleys on a scenic hike.
Day 12 The Northern Drakensberg to Isandlwana
Drive east towards the famous battlefields of the Anglo-Zulu and Anglo-Boer Wars. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon tour of Rorke’s Drift, where you will be transported back in time to relive those pivotal days in history which would shape South Africa as we know it today.
Days 13-14 Isandlwana to Hluhluwei-Mfolozi Park
It’s safari time! Enjoy thrilling twice daily game drives, keeping your eyes peeled for wild dog and hyena as well as the Big 5.
Days 15-16 Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park to Umhlanga
Head to the golden sands of Umhlanga for a final couple of days of relaxation on the sunny coast.
Days 17-18 Fly home
This morning, drive to Durban airport for your flight home.
