Itinerary

Day 1  Fly to Cape Town, South Africa  

Days 2-18  South Africa  
Arrive in Cape Town, a fabulously diverse city. Boasting spectacular scenery, a fascinating history and incredible wildlife, there is a host of amazing experiences to uncover. Explore the captivating city and its vibrant V&A Waterfront before heading to the rolling hills of the Cape Winelands to enjoy some of the country’s most celebrated fine dining restaurants and vineyards. Journey along the iconic Garden Route, visiting laidback seaside towns and quaint villages before arriving in the Eastern Cape for a thrilling safari. Round off your time in South Africa in the cosmopolitan city of Johannesburg and gain insight to the country’s remarkable history.  

Days 19-26  Botswana & Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe  
From Johannesburg head to Botswana for superb game viewing, fantastic lodges, and stunning landscapes. Explore the labyrinth of waterways and islands of the spectacular Okavango Delta, then head to beautiful Chobe National Park, famed for its large herds of elephants. Continue to Victoria Falls and relax on a sunset cruise along the scenic Zambezi River, before flying to Nairobi for the next part of your adventure.  

Days 27-29  Uganda  
Head to the truly special and enchanting Uganda, famed for the magnificent, endangered gorillas, beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife. Trek through the misty rainforest clad mountains of Bwindi National Park to spend time observing these majestic primates, as well as spotting other fascinating wildlife.

Days 30-41  Kenya & Tanzania  
Travel across two of Africa’s most wildlife rich countries as you discover the iconic national parks and reserves of the famed Serengeti and Masai Mara on an exciting small group adventure tour. Begin in the open plains of the Kenya’s Masai Mara tracking the Big 5 and spotting wading hippos and rare bird species on the shores of Lake Nakuru. From the legendary Masai Mara and the striking landscapes of Amboseli head to Tanzania’s vast Serengeti plains and the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater which offers more fabulous game spotting and breathtaking views. This is East Africa at its most spectacular.  

Days 42-48  Zanzibar, Tanzania  
Offering powder white sands and crystal clear waters, Zanzibar is the ultimate beach destination to unwind after an epic safari adventure. Relax by the pool, be pampered with a spa treatment, enjoy watersports, and indulge in delicious food – a perfect end to your grand tour of Africa.  

Days 49-50  Fly home  

Additional Options: It’s easy to tailormake our suggested itineraries to suit you. Why not add a hot air balloon experience over the vast Serengeti? Or a helicopter flight over the magnificent Victoria Falls? Alternatively, upgrade to a private safari in Kenya and Tanzania for greater day to day flexibility and daily departures.
