Itinerary
Days 2-4 Cape Town
The legislative capital of South Africa, Cape Town, is known for its iconic natural beauty and rich tapestry of cultures that stem from a deep-rooted heritage and storied past. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel 5★ Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa. Nestled just south of Camps Bay, this luxury property boasts exceptional service with breathtaking views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range and the rugged coast. On your first full day, get ready to peek behind the curtain of this city on a private tour. Listen as your guide explains the turbulent history of the area before heading to the monuments of the Company’s Garden, the oldest garden in South Africa and then onto the incredible viewpoint from atop Table Mountain. The following day, a private guide will take you along the epic Chapman’s Peak coastal road to Boulders Beach known for its calm sea and African penguin colony.
Day 5 Cape Winelands
This morning, head to the gorgeous vineyards and wineries of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Known the world over for having fantastic wines, see where they’re grown and produced, whilst of course, sampling the final product. Explore these historic estates before transferring back to your hotel in Cape Town.
Day 6 Cape Town to Addo Elephant NP
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) where you will then travel through the stunning, varied landscape of the Eastern Cape to Addo, before arriving at 5★ Gorah Elephant Camp. A beautifully restored 19th Century manor house that emulates the romantic glamour of a bygone era but with all the modern luxuries you could need. Expansive views of the surrounding plains, alongside a nearby waterhole teeming with wildlife including herds of elephants and inquisitive zebra, make this an exceptional location for admiring nature. Once you’ve settled in, it’s time for your first game drive.
Days 7-9 Addo Elephant NP
This premier, malaria-free national park in the Eastern Cape is the third biggest in South Africa and features a diverse ecosystem, including the Big 5. Renowned for its large population of elephants, the park offers incredible viewing opportunities with two game drives per day, to witness these majestic animals in their natural habitat. The camp also prides itself on its involvement within the local community, engaging in several projects that focus on children’s wellbeing and education.
Days 10-11 Transfer to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and fly home
