Day 1  Fly to Cape Town

Days 2-4  Cape Town
Start your adventure in the beautiful city of Cape Town at the self-catering 4★ Waterfront Village, conveniently located within the V&A Waterfront. Enjoy a Cape Point & Peninsula tour and watch playful penguins waddle ashore at Boulders Beach. Ascend iconic Table Mountain by cable car (fees payable locally) or visit the stunning beach of Camps Bay.

Days 5-6  Cape Town to Stellenbosch
After a short drive, arrive in the picturesque Cape Winelands for a stay at the family friendly 4★+ Spier Hotel & Wine Farm. This working wine farm offers guests a chance to see behind the scenes, from  wine tasting to segwaying with the kids.

Days 7-8  Franschhoek to Oudtshoorn
Take the scenic Route 62 and meander towards the desert-like town of Outsworn. The scenery surrounding 4★ Berluda is spectacular and a number of unique experiences await, including an underground guided tour at the ancient Cango Caves and a Meerkat Safari to view these lovable creatures in  their natural habitat.  

Days 9-10  Oudtshoorn to George
Today, travel south to the coastal town of George and the fabulous 5★ Fancourt  Hotel.Ideal for families, this resort is set in over 1,500 acres of expansive rolling grounds and offers a plethora of activities to keep the whole family entertained. From mountain biking, tennis and golf at the hotel’s award-winning course to a Teen Lounge and interactive kids’ club for the little ones and plenty of leisure and dining facilities on site, this is the perfect place to spend a couple of days.

Days 11-12  George to Plettenberg Bay
Continue east for a stay at the hugely popular 4★+ Hog Hollow Country Lodge. Visit one of the many Indian Ocean beaches, explore the area on horseback or zip along on a canopy tour at Tsitsikamma National Park. To nurture your child’s passion for animals, stop by Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary or Birds of Eden.

Days 13-15  Plettenberg Bay to Amakhala GR
Rise early to continue east to 4★ Amakhala Hlosi Game Lodge. Enjoy twice daily game drives, which are suitable for children aged six or above, in addition to art classes, cookery lessons, bush picnics and safari treasure hunts.

Days 16-17
Fly home Enjoy one last morning game drive before driving back to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) airport for your flight home.
