Itinerary
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel near Victoria Falls. Later enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.
Day 2 Victoria Falls
This morning enjoy a guided tour along the network of pathways that stretch along the Zimbabwean section of the breathtaking Victoria Falls. The rest of the day is free for you to relax in your hotel or to explore this area further.
Day 3 Victoria Falls
Today is free for you to enjoy at leisure. Perhaps book a helicopter flight over the falls for one last look at this incredible wonder.
Day 4 Victoria Falls to Hwange NP
Head south to Hwange National Park. Once you reach the park boundary you can spot wildlife en route to your camp. For a unique alternative, transfer by rail on the Elephant Express (see below). Later this afternoon, enjoy your first game activity in Hwange.
Days 5-6 Hwange NP
Spend two days exploring this expansive park on morning and afternoon game activities. Choose game drives, a guided bush walk or perhaps an exciting night drive to spot nocturnal animals.
Day 7 Hwange NP to Lake Kariba
Take a light aircraft flight to Lake Kariba and transfer to your lodge overlooking the lake. Later set off on an afternoon activity to discover the spectacular landscapes of Lake Kariba and the animals and birds which concentrate around the shoreline.
Day 8 Lake Kariba
Today enjoy morning and afternoon activities exploring this picturesque area. Depending on your lodge you can choose from game drives, bush walks, fishing trips and lake cruises. It’s also the perfect spot to take some time to relax and soak up the lake views.
Day 9 Lake Kariba to Mana Pools NP
Fly to the remote wilderness of Mana Pools National Park. The varied landscapes of this park support a wide range of mammals, including a large population of wild dogs, over 350 bird species and a host of aquatic wildlife.
Day 10 Mana Pools NP
Take your pick of the activities on offer at your camp. Head out in search of big cats and other animals on a game drive, stretch your legs on a walking safari or perhaps relax by the watering hole and wait for the animals to come to you.
Day 11 Mana Pools NP to Victoria Falls
Take a light aircraft flight back to Victoria Falls for your onward connection.
Additional Options: Why not upgrade your accommodation in Lake Kariba to the wonderful 5★ Bumi Hills Safari Lodge. Situated on a hilltop with sweeping views over scenic Lake Kariba, it’s the perfect place to relax during your safari adventure.
If staying at Bomani Tented Lodge, the Elephant Express offers a fun way to get to Hwange. Transfer by road to Dete then board this unique open-sided railcar to travel along the border of the national park to Ngamo, from where it’s a short hop to your camp. During the 2 hour trip, enjoy snacks and drinks as you look out for wildlife.
