Day 1 Sydney
Arrive in Sydney and transfer to your city centre hotel.
Day 2 Sydney
Awake to a full day at leisure. Perhaps wander through the pretty Royal Botanic Gardens overlooking the waterfront or opt to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This evening, take to the water for a cruise on Sydney Harbour. As you sail, savour a memorable Welcome Dinner where you will have the opportunity to get to know your tour director and fellow travellers over a delicious meal.
Day 3 Sydney
Discover a selection of Sydney’s most incredible sights on a guided excursion before a traditional fish and chip lunch overlooking the white sands of Bondi Beach. Then step inside the Sydney Opera House for a tour of this world-renowned theatre.
Day 4 Sydney to Hamilton Island
Following breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Hamilton Island, entry point to the idyllic Whitsunday Islands. The remainder of the day is at leisure to do whatever you like in this slice of paradise. Perhaps snorkel off the beach, enjoy a round of golf or hire a buggy to explore this beautiful island before dinner in the evening.
Day 5 Hamilton Island
This morning, be mesmerised by the natural beauty of the Whitsunday Islands with an optional cruise. Scattered like jewels across the sea, many of the Whitsunday Islands are uninhabited and boast some of the most pristine beaches in the world.
Day 6 Hamilton Island to Port Douglas
Bid farewell to Hamilton Island as you board your northbound flight to Cairns and continue onwards to Port Douglas, where the Daintree Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. In the evening, perhaps take the brief walk up to Trinity Bay Lookout for views over the sweeping Four Mile Beach.
Day 7 Port Douglas
Experience a holiday highlight as you cruise aboard a catamaran to the Outer Barrier Reef. Experience the colourful coral and marine life at Agincourt Reef, where you will have the option to dive or snorkel, or perhaps stay dry on board a semi-submersible vessel or a helicopter flight over the reef.
Day 8 Port Douglas to Cairns
This morning, transfer back to Cairns where the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Perhaps wander the many cafes and bars along the Esplanade.
Day 9 Cairns to Uluru
Rise early and board your flight to Uluru. Watch as the scenery changes from the palm-fringed beaches of the tropical north to the rugged landscapes of Australia’s red centre. On arrival, delight in a walk around the base of Uluru and discover the diverse plants and wildlife of the area. Spend the afternoon exploring the iconic Kata Tjuta, an impressive set of domed rock formations.
Day 10 Uluru to Alice Springs
Marvel at the magnificent sunrise over Uluru then travel through the vast outback to Alice Springs. Explore the museums and art galleries of this town featuring work of the local indigenous communities.
Day 11 Alice Springs
After breakfast, visit the School of the Air and the Royal Flying Doctor Service, sitting inside a RFDS aircraft and discover how the doctors operated in 1928. At sunset, you may like to take a memorable camel ride alongside the West MacDonnell Ranges.
Day 12 Alice Springs to Melbourne
Following breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning before your flight to cosmopolitan Melbourne. Arrive late in the afternoon in a city famed for being Australia’s sporting and cultural capital and transfer to your hotel.
Day 13 Melbourne
Explore Melbourne this morning on a guided tour, and discover the city’s must-see sights and hidden gems. Take in the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the largest cricket stadium in the world, before some free time to explore further this afternoon.
Day 14 Melbourne
With a full day at leisure, choose from a number of optional excursions. Perhaps take a cruise on the Yarra River enjoying views of the Melbourne skyline or discover the coastal scenery and intriguing towns along the Great Ocean Road. This evening, a farewell drink and dinner is the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to your tour director and newfound friends.
Day 15 Melbourne
Relax this morning before a transfer to the airport.
