Top End by Rail & Outback Wilderness

Day 1  Uluru            
Pick up your car and drive to your hotel. After checking in, perhaps visit the Mani Mani Indigenous Cultural Theatre or join an informative Ecology and Museum tour.            

Day 2  Uluru            
Seeing Uluru at sunrise is an unforgettable experience. Join a guided tour of UluruKata Tjuta National Park and admire the fabulously colourful landscape. The area is a walker’s paradise; visit Uluru’s sacred sites and the Mutitjulu Waterhole, once an important water source.            

Day 3  Uluru to Kings Canyon      
Set off on the road and keep your eyes peeled for kangaroos and camels on the drive to spectacular Kings Canyon.            

Day 4  Kings Canyon            
Take a full day to explore this beautiful area. Rise early to watch the sunrise at the canyon and explore the numerous walking trails.    

Day 5  Kings Canyon to Alice Springs        
Drive the scenic route along the Red Centre Way to the famously remote town of Alice Springs and drop off your vehicle. Alice Springs is small and easily explored, why not wander up Anzac Hill for sweeping views of the surrounding area or visit the Old Ghan Heritage Railway and Museum to relive the region’s pioneering past.          
         
Days 6-7  Alice Springs to Darwin  
Depart Alice Springs on board The Ghan, an iconic rail experience traversing the historic railroad of the Top End. Regionally inspired meals and drinks are included, ensuring a memorable experience on your journey through the vast expanse of the legendary outback. En route, stop at Katherine and choose an Off-Train Experience ranging from a scenic gorge cruise to visiting an Aboriginal rock art site. Re-board the train and continue north to Darwin.            

Days 8-9  Darwin  
Rise early for a full day tour of Litchfield National Park. Visit Florence Falls for a monsoon vine forest walk and Wangi Falls for an opportunity to swim in the crystalclear plunge pools. Your adventure ends on day nine and you can continue your Australian holiday with a flight to Cairns, Sydney or any other onward destination.
