Itinerary
Days 3-4 Brisbane
Welcome to Brisbane! Spend two days exploring Queensland’s buzzing riverside state capital, boasting a fabulous dining scene and a host of scenic parklands.
Day 5 Brisbane to Lamington NP
Pick up your car and travel south to Lamington National Park which has a vast area of untouched subtropical rainforest, 100 miles of walking tracks and over 500 waterfalls just waiting to be explored.
Day 6 Lamington NP
Absorb bird’s eye views from the treetop canopy walk and try some of the many activities on offer including bushwalking, bird watching and glowworm tours.
Days 7-8 Lamington NP to Montville
Drive north to the charming village of Montville, enjoy spectacular views of the Glass House Mountains en route. Both Montville and neighbouring Maleny feature quaint shops and tearooms and the region is rich with glistening lakes, waterfalls and parklands.
Day 9 Montville to Hervey Bay
Rise early and continue to Hervey Bay, famed for outstanding whale watching. Season permitting (Jul - Oct), you can join a cruise to witness the acrobatic displays of migrating humpback whales.
Days 10-11 Hervey Bay to Lady Elliot Island
Today, take a scenic flight to remote Lady Elliot Island, in the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. Renowned for its pristine setting, abundance of wildlife and strong eco focus, enjoy reef walks at low tide, snorkel safaris or even learn to dive.
Day 12 Lady Elliot Island to Rainbow Beach
Fly back to the mainland today, pick up your car and continue to Rainbow Beach.
Days 13-14 Rainbow Beach
Visit the famous coloured sands, then join a 4WD day tour to spectacular K’gari (Fraser Island). Dip your toes in refreshing lakes and creeks and traverse the boundless 75 Mile Beach with its iconic shipwreck.
Days 15-18 Rainbow Beach to Noosa
Drive south to friendly Noosa. After two nights staying in the laidback town, peppered with fabulous restaurants and boutique shops, head to the banks of the beautiful Noosa Everglades for a unique two night glamping experience.
Days 19-20 Fly home
Drive to Brisbane airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
