Itinerary
Days 2-3 Brisbane
Welcome to Queensland. The sunny state capital that boasts a variety of scenic outdoor attractions and museums. Wander alongside the riverside cafés to South Bank and enjoy the city’s energetic social scene in the evenings.
Days 4-7 Brisbane to Noosa Heads
Pick up your car and head north to Noosa Heads, where stunning beaches and picturesque lakes give way to the lush national park and tranquil everglades. Embark on a scenic cruise through the winding waterways to spot native wildlife. Later, indulge in fantastic cuisine on Hastings Street.
Days 8-9 Noosa Heads to Hervey Bay
Today continue on to Hervey Bay, famed as Australia’s whale watching capital. Between July and October, enjoy a scenic cruise in the bay whilst you look out for majestic humpbacks and orcas.
Day 10 Hervey Bay to K’gari (Fraser Island)
Drive to the Kingfisher Bay Resort in River Heads and take the short ferry across to K’gari (Fraser Island).
Day 11 K’gari (Fraser Island)
The largest sand island in the world, World Heritage listed K’gari (Fraser Island) boasts pristine rainforest, vast beaches, sparkling creeks and turquoise lakes, which you will discover today on a guided 4WD tour.
Day 12 K’gari (Fraser Island) to Hamilton Island
Take the short ferry back to the mainland and head back to Brisbane. On arrival, drop your car at the airport and catch the short flight to Hamilton Island in the heart of the Whitsundays.
Days 13-15 Hamilton Island
One of Australia’s most popular holiday destinations, discover glorious sandy beaches and an abundance of activities both on and off shore. Take a cruise to explore the remote and beautiful bays of the Whitsundays, visiting spectacular Whitehaven Beach renowned for azure waters and pristine white sands.
Day 16 Hamilton Island to Port Douglas
Fly to Cairns (via Brisbane) today and transfer north along the scenic coastal road to the charming seaside town of Port Douglas.
Days 17-19 Port Douglas
Spend three days exploring some of Tropical North Queensland’s gems, including Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, the ancient Daintree Rainforest and finish on a high with a luxury cruise to the outer Great Barrier Reef.
Days 20-21 Transfer back to Cairns and fly home
